Cardi B's Best Friend, Star Brim, Charged In 'Bloods Gang' Case For Allegedly Slashing A Person

Cardi B's best friend, Star Brim, has been charged in connection with a violent street gang for allegedly slashing a person and being involved with racketeering.
According to an indictment, filed by the Southern District of New York, Star Brim was among 18 defendants named in a sweeping gang-related case involving the "59 Brims" a subset of the 'Bloods Gang.'
Star Brim (aka Yonetter Respass) was not arrested in the case at this point, because she is only days away from giving birth.

According to NBC New York, the indictment says Star is one of the highest-ranking females in the gang and is called the "godmother." She has been charged with slashing a person and participating in a racketeering conspiracy.
Prosecutors say other female members of the gang are required to report to her.
The documents reveal details of the structure and dealings inside the gang, including their two rank structures. One for members inside the prison system, and one for street members.

Cardi B recently discussed her own experience with the Bloods gang, telling GQ she started hanging out with Bloods when she was 16 years old.
She claims she walked away from the lifestyle when she realized it was a "lifelong commitment." Instead, she became a stripper at 19 which moved her away from the criminal life.
Brim has become a celebrity on social media after her longtime friend Cardi B posted several times about her relationship with Star Brim.
In 2018, Cardi gave an update to her millions of Instagram followers saying how proud she is of her friend turning her life around.
"Since ya like to talk Soo much s and ya bitches is maaa happy like if Star died or something let me give you the run down .For two and a half years Star been out on bail .She got caught by the Feds and lost a lot of s. Never asked nobody for s*** ,got a 9-5 trying to figure things out .She started bartending something that was so new to her and it was alil difficult at first since NYC strip clubs give hard times to Brown Skin bartenders and barely hire them!" Cardi posted on Instagram along with a photo of Star Brim.
She continued, "Yep i said it ?but you know what ?she ain’t stop and became great !She was able to save thousand of dollars ,pay for good lawyers bought two cars ,a Jeep and a pink Porsche pay them off .Made well over enough for her bid and for when she come home and got a great business plan for when she touches down back in town .Ya maa happy cause she away or like she just got snatch but shorty been prepare for this and turn herself in early cause she just want to get s over with and do her time .I mean why wouldn’t she ? after she finish her bid no more probation, can travel everywhere and she can live a normal love life!Dont gottta worry about falling in love knowing in the back of her mind she got to do time .In Soo proud of her i seen her growth and i see how responsible and determined she is .A super go getter never asking nobody for s ."
