The Weeknd Cancels Show Mid-Song After Losing Voice

In a heartbreaking moment for The Weeknd and his fans, he was forced to cancel his recent concert performance.
The "Blinding Lights" singer was already on stage in Los Angeles when he lost his voice in the middle of a song and had to step off the stage.

The Weeknd Offers His 'Deepest Apologies' To Fans After His Voice 'Went Out' Mid-Song
In a message uploaded to his Instagram Stories on Saturday night, The Weeknd apologized to his fans for having to cancel the concert and promised to make it up to them with a return performance.
"My voice went out during the first song and I've devastated," he wrote. "Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I'll make it up to you with a new date."
His Voice Gave Out After Performing His Third Song, 'Can't Feel My Face'
According to Page Six, "The Hills" singer's voice went out shortly after performing his third song.
“You’ll get your money back,” he reportedly told the 70,000 fans packed inside SoFi Stadium. “But I’ll do a show real soon for you guys.”
The 32-year-old singer, born Abel Tesfaye, stopped the show and walked off stage while performing “Can’t Feel My Face.”
He eventually returned to the stage to address the confusion rippling through the crowd. He reportedly told them that he would be unable to put on “the concert I want to give you right now.”
The Weeknd Gives Emotional Speech To Fans After Canceling Concert
"I personally want to apologize to you guys," he told the disappointed audience. "I don’t know what just happened when I screamed, but I just lost my voice."
“This is killing me. I don’t want to stop the show. But I can’t give you the concert I want to give you right now," he said. "I’m going to make sure everybody’s good … But I wanted to come out and personally apologize, and not tweet it or Instagram it or whatever.”
“But I want you guys to know that I can’t give you what I want to give you," he went on. "I’m so sorry. I love you guys. Thank you so much.”
The chart-topping singer did not say whether or not he had been sick recently to stress out his voice, but he was playing back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium as part of his “After Hours Til Dawn Tour.”
Fans in Toronto, Canada, are eagerly waiting to see if he will be able to make his next performance on September 22.
This Isn't The First Time He's Been Forced To Cancel A Concert
Unfortunately, The Weeknd has been facing problems on tour due to stadium constraints and a demand for more performances. The numerous setbacks caused him to push back the start date of his entire tour by several months.
On October 21, the singer wrote, "Due to constraints of arenas and the demand for more shows I want to do something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums."
As a result, the initial start date of January 2022 was pushed back until the summer.
A new date for Saturday's canceled performance in Los Angeles has yet to be announced. Although plenty of fans of The Weeknd are disappointed by this news, they just hope he'll feel better soon!
