On February 14th, Amanda Bynes posted a picture of her shiny new engagement ring on Instagram. While the ring is enough to leave anyone's jaw on the floor for a few days, on the 17th she FINALLY shared a picture of her mystery fiancé. We discovered his name is Paul Michael and that he is a student. The 'What A Girl Wants' star has been out of the radar recently which has lead fans to wonder what exactly happened to her and what brought her back.

Amanda Bynes has been in the spotlight from a young age. Her acting career began at age seven when she was cast in her first commercial. Nickelodeon picked her up shortly after casting her in shows like 'All That' and 'Figure It Out'. The network then created 'The Amanda Show' which ran for a few years before Bynes made her transition into the movie world. We all know the Bynes classics such as: 'What A Girl Wants', 'She's The Man' and 'Sydney White'.

Bynes has also played rolls in movies like 'Easy A' and 'Hairspray'. With 'Hairspray' being a musical she was featured on the soundtrack which ended up being nominated for a Grammy.

Amanda Bynes career was booming throughout the late 90's and early 2000's. This earned her many award nominations and wins from different associations including: Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, Young Artist Awards, MTV Movie Awards and Hollywood Film Festival.

All this success at such a young age brought trouble to our lovable star.

In 2010, Bynes announced she was taking a break from acting after dropping out of several movies and breaking contracts. Two years later she was arrested in West Hollywood for a DUI. The charge was eventually dropped but the actress received a three year probation period. She had three more incidents between 2013-2014. Bynes announced shortly after the last incident that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This led to her mother being granted conservatorship. 2018 brought the announcement of her sobriety for the past four years.

Shortly after her revealing article with Paper Magazine when she described how drugs and drinking ruined her life, she checked herself back into rehab. Now just shy of two years later Bynes has surprised everyone with her news of an engagement. Bynes has led a pretty private life including not even joining Instagram until late last year. Living in a sober community she met the man of her dreams and that is what she desires to share with the world. Guess we owe the return of Bynes to true love!
