‘DWTS’ star Cheryl Burke isn’t wasting any time when it comes to legally ending her marriage, after agreeing with Matthew Lawrence to have an “uncontested” divorce.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Cheryl Burke and child star Matthew Lawrence have both agreed to swiftly end their legal marriage and filed with the court that they have already signed a written agreement amongst themselves. It should be noted, that this is VERY uncommon amongst celebrity divorces, mainly because there is normally a lot to split up in a high-profile divorce.
Obviously, a couple of this type has a prenuptial agreement — considering they both came into the marriage with their own money.
“The parties have entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership, rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been submitted to the court. I request that the court approve the agreement,” the document says.

This is one of the fastest divorces we have seen in a very long time, considering the former couple filed for divorce in February of 2022. We broke the story, Burke filed the documents in Los Angeles County Courts after 3 years of marriage. Lawerence responded to the filing, asking the court to uphold the estranged couple’s prenuptial agreement — which most likely spells out how their finances will be divorced. The couple has no children together.
The duo met through Matt’s brother — Joey Lawrence — when he was a contestant on Season 3 of ‘DWTS.’
The former ‘Dancing With The Stars’ star took to social media and addressed the breakup, saying, “I know I have always said that I’m an open book with you guys, I do strive to be, and in writing this I’ve realized there isn’t really an easy way to announce that my marriage is ending.” Adding, “I hope you can understand that I will not be commenting any further at this time and am asking for understanding and privacy. Thank you all for all the kind words and support you’ve given me.”

It should be noted, that several reports have surfaced about a possible relationship between Lawernce and Chilli from ‘TLC.’ Obviously, the question is regarding when exactly the possible romance started in conjunction with the marriage with Burke. Recently, in a ‘TikTok’ video, she revealed some sort of cheating incident — saying, “When he said he would never talk to her again yet I found text messages, viagra, and a necklace hidden in a pair of his shoes,” over a video of herself with Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’ playing in the background.
“The last time is absolutely right!” she said. Adding, “Goodbye forever…#exessuck #goodbyeforever #hopeitwasworthit.”
One report says the post was “intentionally not specific. Cheryl has been in abusive relationships in the past, and her reference to an ex could be any one of those subjects.”
