Critics brazenly came for Emma Heming Willis, wife of the legendary actor Bruce Willis, on grief awareness day, following an update she made about grief. Emma naturally did not let the remarks slide but clapped back fiercely with a series of Instagram Story posts featuring a shot of the critics’ jabs and quoting her husband in response to them.
Emma Heming Willis Hits Back At Haters In Post-Grief Awareness Day Update
The British-Actress actress wrote in a post, “When you’re not allowed to talk grief, self-care, or being human in the world on grief awareness day….” In another post, she showed the spiteful social media comments from haters, with the first calling her a drama queen while the second rhetorically asked, “So it’s all about her?”
Another commenter cited the words Emma used to reveal what she had been up to since her husband was diagnosed with aphasia. They included “discovering new hobbies, doing things out of her comfort zone, and staying active.” These sounded like an 80+ woman to the critic who bluntly stated that Emma could try finding a job.
The Netherlands user added that the mother-of-two was getting annoying with her “victim attitude” after noting that she evidently did not need the money from the job, so her “motivation might be low.” One other user admonished the stunning celeb to stop complaining as they believed she signed up to be a caregiver given that she married an “old man,” decades older than she is.
An Ohio user then penned that she would cope well with Bruce’s money but needed to “stop whining and show her children how to cope gracefully.” Responding to all the remarks, Emma expressed in her next post, “My Gawd,” adding, “But in the words of the great philosophical, and insightful Bruce Willis…Ah, f—k ’em.”
Amid Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis and management, he has been shown so much love by his loving family, including his wife, who gushed about him on social media back in June with a heartfelt message. The Blast shared that she also posted a throwback video of the actor singing on stage with the music band The Temptations, showing he was indeed an exemplary man of many talents.
Furthermore, his touching performance displayed his fearlessness leading Emma to reveal her motto, linking it to the reason she fell in love with her husband, who she regarded as fearless. In her words:
“My motto is don’t let the fear stop you. Why? Because fear constantly stops me. Which is another reason I fell for my husband; fear has never stopped him.”
She then asked “what kind of next-level confidence” it took to “sing lead with The Temptations, adding that Bruce has always been led by his passion without letting “naysayers stop him from, well, anything.” The 46-year-old model ended her beautiful words with praises for the “Die Hard” actor, saying she respected, loved, and admired him, after which she urged fans to enjoy the entertaining clip.
Fans took no time in sending love to Bruce, including his daughter Rumi Willis who wrote, “Papa!!!” At the same time, another fan prayed for peace and happiness for the Willis family even during the “toughest times.”

While promoting her skincare brand, CocoBaba, in May, Emma spoke to The Bump about her challenges as a business owner and dished a bit on her self-care journey. The Blast detailed the interview, disclosing that the brown-haired created her brand to provide pregnancy-safe skin products, given her experience with relying on coconut oil during her pregnancy.
She was not so confident at the beginning of her journey as she never believed the products would be produced the way she wanted. Although she often felt undertrained, she had amazing friends who helped her learn a few things about the business world.
It is worth knowing that Emma’s company prides itself in selling directly to customers to make things easier and concentrate on being as eco-friendly as possible. Diverting to her self-care struggles, she admitted that she did not prioritize her needs enough and overcared for her family.
This unfortunately impacted her mental and whole health; however, she found solace in exercising as it made her feel good. She then voiced her belief about the importance of finding “that one thing” that makes one feel good and building from there.
