Lil Nas X Denies Testimony Of A Fan That He Was Nice: 'I Am Very Mean In Person'

Lil Nas X is again getting the attention of the media, not for his usual unconventional fashion style but for denying a "really nice" gesture he made at the VMAs. Although news of him being pleasant to a fan at the awards ceremony has gone viral, he rebuffed the testament via a Twitter  update, maintaining that he was indeed the opposite of "nice."

Responding to Pop Crave's news about the testimony, Lil Nas X tweeted, "This is not true. I am very mean in person. I once slapped a fan for singing the lyrics to industry baby wrong." His statement contradicts that of an ecstatic fan who shared their experience in a now-viral Reddit update about meeting the Georgia-born rapper up-close for the first time at the VMAs.

The fan believed he was truly friendly and revealed that they took a couple of "cute" selfies together without Lil Nas X being an "a**hole" like several other celebs usually are. In the avid supporter's words about the encounter, "It was really nice to meet someone I admire and find out they're genuinely nice person."

While numerous fans worldwide may be taken with the "Old Town Road" soloist, BET does not appear to share similar sentiments as they do not regard him highly for surprising reasons. The Blast reported the reasons back in July, revealing that the dispute had been going on for a while based on Lil Nas X's exposé to Rolling Stone.

Given the history between BET and the 23-year-old songwriter, he admitted that their relationship had been "painful and strained" since last year. It possibly all began with the release of his pop-rap single "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)," which infuriated a number of religious and conservative groups. Causing more outrage, the song's video showed him flaunting his pole and lap dancing talents in a fictional Hell.

Lil Nas X also gained lots of criticism for his partnership with MSCHF company to issue the controversial "satan shoes" comprising drops of human blood. Not long after, he was accused severally for allegedly worshipping the Devil, a belief BET also shared as they did not allow him to perform at their 2021 show before confirming his religious views.

The Billboard icon recalled the painful event by explaining that he was not allowed to take the stage until he reassured the network and promised that his performance would be appropriate for their audience. BET seemed to have done precisely that, as an insider from the singer's team disclosed that the showrunners probed them about what they would do at the show before allowing him on stage.

Unfortunately, his performance was met with disappointment as the network felt he used them after he kissed one of his dancers on stage. The source asserted that the producers were not pleased. They said, "After [Lil Nas X] got offstage, one of the BET producers came up to me, and before I could even open my mouth, he looked at me and said, 'That was really f**ked up.'"

However, a BET rep claimed otherwise, explaining that the showrunners actually enjoyed his 2021 performance and had been in contact with the CMA awardee's team to collaborate on upcoming projects.

Lil Nas X turned the heat up on social media not long ago by giving off "Marilyn Monroe" vibes from the famed 1955 movie "The Seven Year Itch." The Blast reported that he used Monroe's appearance to unveil his alter ego, Marilyn Montero, with a couple of pictures and a two-worded message on Twitter introducing his new look.

It is worth knowing that the classic movie featured Monroe's infamous white dress blowing over her head while she stood over a subway grate. The "Panini" vocalist did not simply go with the style but added a few edges. He rocked a white button-down blouse open in a deep V-cut and paired it with a floor-length, white pleated skirt.

He completed his look with a chunky silver necklace and white platform boots that had transparent heels. In addition, instead of going blonde like Monroe, he opted for a curly bob similar to her hairstyle in the film.
