Halle Berry just might be in the best shape of her life. The 53-year-old Oscar winner has been pushing herself to the limits in the run-up to her MMA movie "Bruised" – keep reading for the injuries the actress sustained during fight scenes.

Halle was spotted out and about in L.A. on Valentine's Day as she picked up gifts for her kids – something about this hard-hitting muscle machine carrying kiddie presents made the outing all the more adorable. That said, Halle's choice of wardrobe hardly held back in terms of flaunting her insanely strong physique.

Photos obtained by The Daily Mail showed Halle solo. The "Catwoman" star had opted for an all-black look bar some fun headwear. Halle wore a tight black pair of yoga pants rising just above the ankle, pairing it with a comfy matching hoodie.

Halle did jazz things up via her blue-and-white patterned bandana – this almost gave off a bad*ss vibe – with the star also seen in sneakers.

Halle's defined quads, toned calves, and built glutes were all visible, although the star didn't seem out to flaunt much. She was seen with bags of gifts in each hand, also photographed in a side-view shot as she held her phone.

Halle's MMA training spans beyond the prep for her upcoming "Bruised" movie. The star's "John Wick 3: Parabellum" movie saw her complete three years' worth of mixed martial arts training in just six months.

More recently, Halle has been spotted injured following a fight scene for "Bruised." The actress sported a swollen and bruised eye, taking to social media to reassure fans that she was okay.

"Thank you to all the folks that have showered me with love since my injury. It's par for the course when you do your own stunts, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just know I'm far from tired. I'm wide awake...and just getting started! ???? #BruisedTheMovie," she wrote.

Halle's "Bruised" movie will see her make her directorial debut as Jackie "Justice", a disgraced MMA fighter. Training for the movie saw Halle thick in the action with UFC fighters.

"It’s a movie about a woman who once had a promising MMA career, she was going up the ranks of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), and then something unthinkable happened that derailed her career, and we find her five years later, and she has to make her way back. It’s a movie I’m extremely passionate about. It has a wonderful message. I think it’s a message that women need to heal," Halle told Entertainment Weekly.

Photos on Halle's Instagram may be all about the muscles, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, but Friday was about family for Halle. The star is a mom to 11-year-old daughter Nahla Ariel Aubry, plus 6-year-old son Maceo Robert Martinez.

Halle's snaps showed her with gifts that were likely clothes and toys.

Meanwhile, Halle's fitness reputation has also seen her announce a new fitness line. The actress took to Instagram last week to announce the project, choosing a smoking hot and sweat-drenched photo of herself to break the news.
