OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, popularly known as Courtney Tailor, has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges from the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli. Clenney was charged with one count of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon and entered her not guilty plea on August 18th.
On August 3rd, police officers arrive at Obumseli’s home to find him with a knife wound. He was immediately moved to the hospital and later died from the injury. Clenney was arrested in Hawaii and maintained that she acted in self-defense. She also claimed that Obumseli attacked her and that she was forced to protect herself.
Obumseli’s family had disputed Clenney’s claim, saying that she has a history of violence against her late boyfriend and that he was unarmed when she attacked him that night. Clenney has since been extradited back to Florida and was denied bond, so she awaits trial in jail.

Courtney Clenney Pleaded Not Guilty To The Murder Charge
On August 18th, Clenney pleaded not guilty to one count of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon. Per online court records reported by E! News, Clenney submitted her plea in writing, and her arraignment is scheduled for August 31st.
Clenney is accused of the fatal stabbing of Obumseli on April 3rd this year. According to the Miami-Dade police records obtained by E! News, officers responded to a call regarding a domestic violence incident. They found Obumseli with “an apparent knife wound” when they arrived.
The officers transported the 26-year-old cryptocurrency trader to the Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he later died from the knife injury. The preliminary investigation revealed that Clenney and Obumseli had a “physical altercation,” but the OnlyFans model wasn’t arrested at the time.
She Claims She Acted In Self Defense
On August 10th, after intense backlash on social media, Clenney was finally arrested in Hawaii. In response to the allegations, Clenney stated that she acted in self-defense and claimed that Obumseli had attacked and choked her while they were arguing that night.
Clenney’s lawyer, Frank Andrew Prieto, recently spoke to E! News and said there was plenty of evidence that his client was defending herself the night of the stabbing. He said, “Obumseli attacked her and choked her that evening; Courtney had no choice but to meet force with force.”
Prieto also said, “There is no doubt the two of them had a tumultuous relationship; moreover, there is evidence that Courtney was a victim of physical, emotional, and mental abuse at the hands of Obumseli.” He also declared that he and his team would “vigorously defend Courtney and clear her of this unfounded and baseless charge.”
Christian Obumseli’s Family Has Disputed Her Claims
While Clenney claims that she acted in self-defense, Obumseli’s family is working hard to ensure her claim doesn’t hold. They stated that the later Obumseli was a victim of domestic violence and that Clenney had attacked him severally during their relationship.
On August 12th, his brother, Jeffrey Obumseli, posted a statement on Instagram in which he claimed that Obumseli was “unarmed when Clenney brutally stabbed him in the chest from behind.” He also wrote, “I’d truly give anything in the world to have Toby alive today. He didn’t deserve this and no one else does.”
The family’s lawyer, Larry Handfield, also refuted Clenney’s self-defense claims in an interview with Rolling Stone shortly after Obumseli’s death. He said, “She has not shown any remorse for her actions and it is obvious to the family that Ms. Clenney … is receiving special treatment that is not afforded to the rest of us.”
Courtney Clenney Was Denied Bond
Clenney was extradited from Hawaii to Florida and appeared in a Miami courtroom on Saturday for her bail hearing. According to WLPG, who reported the events of the hearing, Prieto argued that there was insufficient evidence to back a murder charge, so Clenney should be released on bail until her trial.
He told Judge Jacqueline Woodward, “At best it’s manslaughter.” Woodward eventually denied Clenney bail and sent her back to Miami-Dade jail to await her next hearing. After the plea hearing, Clenney was taken back to jail to wait for her arraignment.
