Barbie Ferreira is pressing forward with her acting career following her exit from the reputable HBO show "Euphoria" where she was best known for her role as Kat Hernandez. The social media icon will now be featured in a new reportedly thrilling series that Variety reported details of, revealing that production will most likely begin in fall.
Barbie Ferreira Is Set To Appear In Amazon Prime Video's "House Of Spoils"
Ferreira will be starring alongside Ariana DeBose in the upcoming psychological thriller, "House of Spoils." The production is supported by Amazon Prime Video and Blumhouse Television but has no specific premiere date.
Directed by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, it centers on an ambitious chef who opens her first restaurant, "a farm-to-table joint on a remote escape," where she struggles with multiple challenges. Among the challenges are her overwhelming self-doubt, chaos in her kitchen, an untrustworthy investor, and the powerful spirit of the estate's former owner, who regularly threatens to harm her.
DeBose plays the ambitious chef while Ferreira acts as a "sous chef" working with the former's character. Furthermore, the official logline describes the film as "a tense, psychological and sensuous thriller that will leave hearts pounding and mouths watering."
Blumhouse head, Jason Blum, is producing the series alongside Alex Scharfman, Lucas Joaquin, Drew Houpt, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath. At the same time, Chris McCumber and Jeremy Gold will executively produce it for Blumhouse Television. "House of Spoils" marks Ferreira's latest film role after leaving "Euphoria" and she is represented by "Authentic Talent and Literary Management, Aperture Talent Agency, Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson McGinnis Ryan, and Highlight PR."

Regarding her exit from the drama series, The Blast disclosed the alleged reason for her decision, as was revealed on the "Zach Sang Show" by an insider. The 25-year-old model appeared to have had issues working with the film executive Sam Levinson whom the source described as a "specific type of director."
She was also reported to be a messy type who never tidied up after her hairless cat, including its "piss and litter," without being bothered about people sharing trailers during filming. Her cat and habit may have played a part in her leaving. Still, her attitude was also in question as the informant voiced his belief, implying that she and some other actors were overconfident about their performances.
He stressed that those he implied were "picked off the streets randomly," and their ego was "to the roof" considering that they were in the "second biggest show in HBO history." The informant added that they forgot they had a job to do on set, which involved them bringing the words and character to life without including their ego.
When questioned about if Ferreira chose to quit or was fired, the source had no straight answer but mentioned that contracts for the series' third season were still being released. He said several performers would reprise their roles on the show, including Sydney Sweeney, whereas others' contracts were still being reviewed.
It should be noted that the team regularly and digitally monitored those with tentative contracts to determine if they were worthy enough for re-casting.

Prior to the revelation about Ferreira, she shared the saddening news of her exit from "Euphoria" with a 'teary-eyed' farewell message which The Blast reported. Her message began, "After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character, Kat, I'm having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye."
The New York-born video director hoped fans could see themselves in the character as she did. She also wished Kat brought them happiness seeing her advance into who she is today. Ferreira then ended the message, "I put all my care and love into her, and I hope you guys could feel it. I love you, Katherine Hernandez."
Fans may recall that in the first episode of the HBO production, Kat, a body positivity advocate trying to figure out her sexuality, appeared in several scenes, including highlights of her romantic relationship. On the other hand, the second season displayed lesser appearances from the character, which caused speculations about her complications with Sam Levinson.
Ferreira silenced the rumors during a past interview where she said Kat's journey was "a little more internal and a little mysterious" to viewers as she experienced lots of "existential crises."
