When asked what was going on with Ferreira quitting "Euphoria," the source said she allegedly had some complications with the series director Sam Levinson. He added that Levinson was a "specific type of director," and the body positivity advocate could not handle working with him.

The co-host wanted to know when and where the conflict began, leading the informant to reveal that the director seemingly made the cast members scream at each other and cry between cuts to enable them to get their emotions out while on set. He called it a "disaster," adding that Ferreira was rather untidy as she never cleaned up after her hairless cat, including its "piss and litter," even with people sharing trailers amid filming.

Although her cat may have allegedly contributed to her exit, the spokesperson also believed her attitude was to blame; she and several other co-stars seemed to have taken their performance to their head. The source explained, "These kids were picked off the streets randomly, discovered by the queen Jennifer and daddy, and of course, their ego is just to the roof. They're in the second biggest show in HBO history."

He noted that those he referred to thought they were all bad and forgot they had a job to do on set, which was to bring the words and character to life without bringing in their ego. The show's co-host inquired if the 25-year-old social media influencer chose to leave or was fired, to which the insider had no specific response but announced that contracts for the show's third season were still being released.

He revealed some stars would be returning to the series, naming Sydney Sweeney, while others' contracts are tentative as the team was closely watching online if said performers were worth re-featuring. As for Ferreira, who will not be reprising her role, fans will unfortunately never get to see how her character turned things around following the scandalous drama revolving around her in the series.

Furthermore, she recently bid her fans a teary-eyed goodbye in an emotional message announcing her departure from the show after four years of embodying the "most special and enigmatic character, Kat." The Blast reported that the "So Cool" director expressed her hope via the note that fans could see themselves in the character as she did, wishing it brought them joy seeing her "journey into the character she is today." In conclusion, she wrote:

"I put all my care and love into her, and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you, Katherine Hernandez."

As fans are aware, Ferreira had a reduced involvement in the second season of "Euphoria," barely showing in the whole series leading to talks about her having a fallout with Levinson. However, she eventually explained her character's absence in an interview, pointing out that Kat's journey in the season was "more internal and mysterious to the audience."

Earlier in July, "Euphoria" lead star Zendaya was reported to possibly make her directorial debut in the series' third season after missing a chance to do so in its second season. According to IndieWire, she was meant to direct the sixth episode of Season 2, titled "A Thousand Little Trees Of Blood," but could not do so as she did not have sufficient time for planning.

The Emmy winner explained to Vogue Italia, saying, "I was actually supposed to direct episode 6, but then I had to act in it." She continued, "I didn't have enough time, so, unfortunately, I wasn't able to this time around. I wanted to have enough time to do it the right way. So, next season probably,"

Zendaya seems more than capable of the task as she has had significant inspiration working with the show's creator on the pandemic movie "Malcolm & Marie" and partnering with Denis Villeneuve for "Dune" and its follow-up "Dune: Part Two."
