Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s been confirmed that the award-winning rapper will make a cameo appearance in an upcoming episode of Marvel’s “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” However, Megan herself and Disney are yet to directly comment on the news.

Megan certainly isn’t new to the film industry, as she has made a previous appearance on Starz’s “P-Valley.” During her recent profile interview with The Cut, Megan revealed that she actually auditioned for the show’s lead role but never got a callback.

The “Thot Shit” rapper, for possibly unrelated reasons, shared a video of herself twerking directly into a phone camera left on stage by by her fan.

A few hours after it was confirmed that Megan would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Houston-born rapper took to her Instagram account to share a possibly unrelated yet delightful video of herself twerking up a storm directly above a phone left on her stage by a fan.

The phone, which got dropped on the stage while she performed, caught the rapper's attention and caused her to stare quizzingly at it for a brief moment before shaking her booty directly for its camera as it recorded every single shake and ripple, obviously to the delight of whoever owned the device.

Megan is slated to make a cameo appearance in an upcoming episode of "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law." In the episode, the "Sweetest Pie" rapper becomes tangled in a legal case concerning catfishing. The lawyer handling the case is Augustus "Pug" Pugliese, played by actor Josh Segarra.

On the red carpet of the series premiere, Segarra spoke to Deadlineand hinted at Megan's cameo in the show. He said, "A gentleman is being catfished by somebody that lives in another universe, let's say. Another world. So he thinks he's dating one person, and he's not, so we need to help him figure that out."

Segarra then confirmed the reporter's guess that the catfisher stole the identity of a certain popular recording artist. It's still unclear if Megan will make more appearances in the show beyond this cameo. The rapper and Disney are yet to comment on the news of her featuring in the Disney+ series.

This cameo appearance in "She-Hulk" isn’t Megan’s first rodeo in the film industry. She previously played her alter-ego Tina Snow in an episode of the Starz series, “P-Valley.” Snow made a guest appearance at the strip club, “The Pynk,” and performed an original song, “Get It on the Floor.”

In her The Cut profile, Megan revealed that she had auditioned for “P-Valley” before she rose to fame as a rapper. She said that she auditioned for the lead role of Mercedes but never got a callback. The role eventually went to actress Brandee Evans.

The show’s creator, Katori Hall, later recalled to The Cut that she saw a lot of potential in Megan and knew she’d have a bright future. She said, “This young lady has swag. She has power. She has something to say. She’s obviously gorgeous to look at. This is a young artist.”

She Plans To Explore The Film Industry Thoroughly

Megan also spoke to The Cut about her plans for her acting career, saying that she plans to go much further than just acting. She said, “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer.”

The “Cry Baby” rapper also said that Ice Cube and Queen Latifah’s music and film career paths motivate her own path. She said, “When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music.” She recently became the second black woman, after Queen Latifah, to perform at the Oscars.

After her cameo in “She-Hulk,” Megan is slated to feature in the upcoming musical comedy by A24, “Fucking Identical Twins.” It’s not been confirmed what role she will play in the film. Megan also shared that she dreams of playing the role of Isis in a reboot of “Bring It On.”

The Series Follows Lawyer Jennifer Walters As She-Hulk

“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” follows the experiences of lawyer Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany) as she struggles to combine her regular life with her new responsibilities after accidentally becoming the female superpowered hulk.

The show has also featured several other cameos and guest appearances. It has featured Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Tim Roth as Abomination. Charlie Cox is also slated to return as Daredevil.
