Taylor Swift Thanks Her Fans For The Win... By Giving Them A Brand New Album!

In 2020, Taylor Swift released sister albums folklore and evermore. In 2021, she followed it up with Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version). Fans had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of 1989 (Taylor's Version), and although a few singles have been released here and there throughout the year, it looks like fans will finally get to hear some new music in October 2022.

“I made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous, and give us this … I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you my new album comes out Oct. 21, and I will tell you more at midnight,” she said as she received her award.

“I’m so honored to have been recognized alongside such amazing artists and directors in this category,” she continued. “I just want to say I’m so heartened by the fact that for the first time in VMA history four of the directors nominated in the Video of the Year category are women.”

“You guys, I’m just so proud of what we made and I know with every second of this moment that we wouldn’t have been able to make this short film if it weren’t for you the fans. I wouldn’t be able to re-record my albums if it weren’t for you, you emboldened me to do that.”
