Meghan Trainor Gushes About Being Part Of Hilary Duff's Celebrity Mom Group

Singer Meghan Trainor is ready to go for round two after welcoming her first child, a son named Riley, in February 2021. The singer recently revealed that she could've gotten pregnant months ago, but she and her husband had to consider their busy schedules.

Trainor also spoke about her mom group, a Los Angeles-based mom's group that Hilary Duff created and invited her to. The group also includes Ashley Tisdale and Mandy Moore, amongst others. Trainor said she's been a part of the group for over a year but is still starstruck and nervous when around them.

The singer also confessed that her husband, Daryl Sabara, was just as starstruck by the group, especially Moore, who he adored growing up. For now, however, the couple is focusing on raising their little boy and planning for the little girl they want next.

Almost two years after the birth of her son, Riley, Meghan Trainor says that she's extremely eager to get pregnant again. She recently spoke about her plans for baby number two to Us Weekly at the exclusive preview of the new Lego DOTS pop-up event in Los Angeles.

Trainor said, "If I could've got pregnant months ago, I would've. We're just busy and I don't want to be, like, nauseous while doing all this fun stuff." Trainor explained that she was about to do a lot of traveling around the world, so she was forced to push back her plans for her next pregnancy.

However, she shared that by November or December, she will "be trying to get knocked up." Trainor also said that she "would love a daughter" and is already thinking of ways to increase her chances of getting a girl. She said, "I'm gonna eat acidy foods 'cause I heard that helps you get a daughter."

At least, when Trainor does get pregnant again, she still has her mom group to support her through the journey. The Los Angeles-based group was created by Hilary Duff, who invited Trainor to join the exclusive group during her first pregnancy. Other famous members include Ashley Tisdale and Mandy Moore.

The "All About That Bass" singer said, "Hilary invited me, blessed me with that opportunity, and I owe her my life." She also said that she still finds being a group member a surreal experience and has to pinch herself every time they meet. Trainor said, "Every day I'm like, 'Be cool, be cool, be cool.' It's been, like, a year and a half, and I'm like, 'Be cool.'"

The "Dear Future Husband" singer also shared that her husband, Sabara, was just as stars-truck as she was when they received her invite to the group and met the famous members. In particular, she said, Sabara was stars-truck by Moore, whom he loved growing up.

Trainor said, "You know, Daryl named his hamster Mandy Moore growing up. So we're acting as we're there trying to be very cool about it, but we're freaking out." Moore is currently pregnant with her second baby and had an 18-month-old son with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith.

Trainor also told Us Weekly that she's embracing the mom's group sisterhood. She said, "This is where we escape work, and we just hang and chill and talk about our baby" and also added that the women chat about the weird and interesting things that have happened in their week.

Aside from the mom's group, Trainor has also been very busy with her career and son. The "Smurfs: The Lost Village" actress has a new album coming out this October and is gearing up for its release with intense publicity.

Trainor also spoke about her son, saying that he's already becoming a little "actor." She also shared that Riley is a big fan of toys, especially the LEGO sets, just like the new LEGO DOTS.

Trainor added, "He got the LEGO big blocks and likes stacking [them]. Honestly, you give that kid a jar, he'll be stoked. He's just like, 'Oh, oh,' [and] put his mouth on it and then puts things inside of things. That's his jam right now."
