Presley Gerber feels misunderstood -- at least, that's what his new face tattoo says. Indeed, the young model debuted his new ink, a small tattoo that reads the word "misunderstood" in all-caps across his cheek. While face tattoos have become a huge trend in the past few years -- especially amongst young, male musicians -- they don't come without a certain amount of scrutiny from the public. And, as Presley learned recently, his new tattoo was no exception to criticism.

According to PopCulture, Presley is not pleased with the backlash from his tattoo. He took to Instagram live to slam the haters who have had negative things to say about his tattoo: "I just wanted to come on here and be like, if anyone has s— to say to me about this or anything else and my family or how I grew up or anything, I will give you my address, I promise, and you can come say it to my face."

Presley, who is the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Randy Gerber, went on to explain the meaning behind the tattoo. "I don't feel very understood, I guess." He also added this sentiment, for those who said he made a mistake by getting the new ink: "If I thought this was going to ruin my face or I didn't want this, I wouldn't have done it. I think that's a pretty obvious thing." Clearly, Presley has no regrets about the ink, despite the heavy criticism he's been facing.

Back in December of 2018, Presley was arrested for a DUI. He was only 19 at the time. In July of 2019, he took a plea deal for the misdemeanor, which includes three years probation, a DUI program, and two days community service. The model was initially pulled over in the early morning for speeding, but the officer smelled alcohol on Gerber's breath, and asked him to do a field sobriety test -- which, of course, he ended up failing. Fans are speculating if Presley's feelings of being "misunderstood" may tie into his whole legal debacle.

Of course, Presley comes from a very famous family. Cindy Crawford, his mother, is one of the best-known supermodels in the world. And Presley's sister, Kaia Gerber, is steadily establishing a modeling career of her own. Presley isn't the only one who has been involved in drama recently -- sister Kaia has recently ended things with ex Pete Davidson, after a seemingly tumultuous few months of dating. Amid speculation of a breakup, and then elopement, and then even a pregnancy, it seems that Kaia is happy and doing just fine on her own.
