Gal Gadot Wows Instagram With 'Wing Woman' Pic

Gal Gadot's Oscars 2020 dress is gone. The Israeli actress is back in armor, and she's been wowing Instagram with a sneak peek at the metallic gold armor she'll be appearing in when "Wonder Woman 1984" hits movie theaters later this year.

Gal updated her Instagram on Tuesday to share yet another magazine she's fronting – the 34-year-old is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. The fierce photo of Gal has been racking up likes ever since it went live – unsurprising given that she looked so great.

The magazine cover showed Gal looking her best. The fighting-fit star was posing in a full body suit comprised of segmented gold armor complete with a breastplate, with a giant set of wings true to the look seen in the comics.

Originating in Mark Waid's "Elseworlds: Kingdom Come #3," the illustration itself was painted by Alex Ross, with the "Wonder Woman 1984" team appearing to have replicated the outfit perfectly.

Gal posed in semi-profile with her long brown hair billowing behind her, also delivering a direct and fierce gaze.

"Wing Woman," the cover read: "Gal Gadot takes flight in her radiant return as Wonder Woman."

This update definitely didn't go unnoticed. Gal's post managed to rack up an impressive 335,000+ likes in under an hour, also bringing in a giant wave of fan comments.

Many replied to the caption, in particular, the mentioned release date of the much-anticipated movie.

"Thanks @entertainmentweekly for featuring Wonder Woman on your next cover! So excited for you all to see #WW84 in theaters June 5th…get ready!" Gal had written.

"BIG LIKE," one fan wrote.

"This girl is on fire!" another said.

"So excited! Can't wait til the movie drops!" was another comment.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Gal referenced her own year of birth – one year after 1984.

“I was born in ’85, but it’s funny, I really do remember,” she said.

“Probably more so because of my parents, but it was a such a standout decade as much as it goes with fashion, music, politics. And the look of everything! The colors.”

Gal was born and raised in Israel, undergoing the country's mandatory military service. For Gal, the training was pivotal to her career – "Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin liked her "knowledge of weapons," per the actress' 2011 Forward interview.

For many fans, the on-screen romance between Gal and co-star Chris Pine proved memorable in "Wonder Woman." Gal touched on this in her interview, saying that the two just gelled well.

“There was no chemistry test!” she said.

“Honestly, we just had it…. And where other men could be intimidated by the fact that they’re not, you know, the hero hero that men usually are, with Chris he enjoys it, and it challenges him in a way that is so much fun and so funny," Gal added.
