Nowadays women and men can’t be friends anymore without someone saying “Aww, they’d make a cute couple.” Photos of Regina King and Brad Pitt have surfaced on the internet and fans are losing their minds. People have officially shipped the two great actors and posted raunchy fanfics on the web. Just because two attractive people are single, though, doesn’t mean they’re hooking up. Fans are too involved in King and Pitt’s love life. There is no relationship brewing between the two. Period.
Social media is notorious for misconstruing a simple innocent encounter between celebs. For Regina King and Brad Pitt, fans are hopeful the two will become a couple after their night out at the Academy Awards. Based on the photos taken at the 2020 Oscars, fans definitely placed too much emphasis on Regina’s hand placement and eye contact, drawing conclusions that weren’t there. However, that lean in with a kiss to each cheek appeared suspect. Maybe King and Pitt do have a little chemistry.

Beside the photos, Regina King made it clear that she isn’t interested in dating. The actor is too busy with new life changes, including her film director gig. The Watchmen actress is among the slew of women who’ve made the transition from acting to calling the shots. During an interview, King stated that the purpose of her first film project One Night In Miami will be to” Bring voice to our history as black people in America that doesn’t involve slavery.” A change that needs to happen, indeed. King clearly doesn’t have time for relationships.
Not only does Regina King oppose the idea of dating but she’s gone cold turkey. The actress has had enough of the dating scene. Believe it or not, King has only shared a relationship with two men in her life. From years 1997 to 2007, the beautiful actress was first married to fellow actor Ian Alexander. They pair bore a son together by the same name. It seemed like the picture perfect family until the actors decided to split. Four years later, King gave love another go with old friend and late actor Malcolm Jamal-Warner, only to get dumped on Valentines Day in 2013. After going through relationships like that, anyone would want to stay single.
King maybe too focused on her work, but Jennifer Aniston is emotionally available. Brad Pitt and the actress were married for five years, before the cheating scandal of the century hit the headlines. Arguably, Pitt and Angelina Jolie were a better husband and wife than Aniston. The actor managed to screw that marriage up, too. Perhaps Brad Pitt is just a lady’s man. Not even Aniston could avoid sharing a dance with her ex-husband at this year’s SAG Awards. Their initiate run-in sparked a possible rekindling of their relationship, but it seems the two are just really good friends for now.
Regina King wasn’t the only one fans were shipping with the chiseled Brad Pitt. Two years ago, the internet went crazy over Tiffany Haddish and Brad Pitt’s encounter in the elevator, in which he stated “if they were still single after a year, he’d date her.” On the night of the 2020 Oscars, the comedian and actor found themselves at the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party, living it up. Long before this night happened, fans were shipping the two stars as Biffany. Guess Regina King should consider herself lucky they haven’t given her and Brad Pitt with a ship name yet.
