Is Tom Brady going to appear in season 8 of “The Masked Singer”?

The Fox celebrity guessing game show has already featured seven seasons of celebrity talents singing their hearts out on stage. From controversial politicians like Sarah Palin to Rudy Giuliani to seasoned performers like LeAnn Rimes and Wayne Brady, “TMS” features a panel of judges trying to identify celebrities based on their voices and clues that are given throughout the show.

Considering Rob Gronkowski has previously appeared on the show as the White Tiger, fans think that it’s a no-brainer that Tom Brady is set to make his appearance in season 8.

Although the NFL star can’t openly admit that he appeared on the show, TMZ is speculating that he did after TMZ Sports obtained a clip of one of the judges, “Community” star Ken Jeong, checking out who’s under the Hummingbird costume. Ken exclaims that the look and performance of the Hummingbird is “screaming out like a football legend.”

Although he initially guesses Peyton Manning, he then ventures, “I think this could be the greatest of all time” and goes on to say, “He just got fined for not showing up to training camp because he is here on 'The Masked Singer'. This is seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady!”

According to the outlet, season 8 officially wrapped on August 20, and Tom Brady showed up at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers camp on August 22, two days after taping ended, which is seriously suspicious timing. The season won’t start until September 21 for fans to find out on their own, but the 45-year-old athlete did take to Twitter to try to deny the rumors himself.

Tom Brady Denies That He Appeared On 'The Masked Singer'

The day that he arrived at the Bucs camp, Tom Brady said that he "wasn't on the masked singer last week. Was wearing a mask though."

Of course, plenty of fans pointed out that just because he wasn't on "The Masked Singer" last week doesn't mean he didn't make an appearance at all.

TMZ seemed to play along, saying that they are, "waiting impatiently for the big reveal." However, other fans seemed to think that the debate about whether or not Tom Brady would appear on the show was pretty useless and didn't seem all that interested in guessing whether or not he is scheduled to appear.

"Tbh even if Tom Brady were on the show, he’s not going to tell you guys lol," one fan commented. "All of the celebrities that are on masked singer have to sign a contract saying they aren’t going to tell anyone so even if Tom Brady is on the show, he’s not just going to be like 'yeah I’m on the show.'"

Although the news that Donald Trump's former lawyer was on the show leaked months before his actual appearance, that was due to the controversy surrounding judge Ken Jeong reportedly getting up and storming off stage during filming.

Considering how much backlash Fox received from his appearance, it's doubtful they'll bring on another controversial politician going into its eighth season, but it remains to be seen what other celebrity singing talent they'll invite to perform on stage.

Fans can look forward to the familiar panel of Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger returning to "The Masked Singer" when season 8 debuts on Wednesday, September 21 at 8 PM on Fox.
