Travis Barker cannot seem to catch a break! He has been through it, from catching COVID to having a life-threatening health scare.

Fans of Barker would recall that in 2008, the drummer was involved in an almost fatal airplane crash, leading him to stop flying for 13 years. So, it was no surprise when the father-of-two got a massive show of concern from his followers when he updated them about a new challenge following his recent COVID diagnosis.

Travis Barker Gives Fans An Important Update On His Health

The 46-year-old shared the news of his diagnosis with an Instagram picture that he used to express his sadness about not being able to play drums. The "COVID sucks, I'd rather be playing drums" captioned post featured Barker looking at something beyond the camera as he drummed.

The shirtless artist appeared to be wearing a beanie, white trousers, and black shoes. The post received supportive responses from fans and celebrities who gave it over 100k likes and 600+ comments, with one person writing, "I hope you feel better soon. You are always in my prayers."

This new development comes on the heels of the health scare he suffered a few months ago. In a report by The Blast, the Blink-182 drummer was rushed to the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center in July with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, by his side.

When his health did not improve, the "First Date" artist was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles by ambulance. It was later reported that the doctors had placed Barker on a special diet after diagnosing him with pancreatitis.

The punk rock drummer who married Kardashian some months back took to his Instagram Story to thank his supporters and friends for the love they showed him during the harrowing experience. The rocker said that even though nothing happened after he got an endoscopy in early July, he developed excruciating pains at dinner one evening, which led to his hospitalization. He explained:

"During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis."

He concluded by saying that he was much better after intensive treatment and thanked God for his life.

Meanwhile, his wife shared a more detailed recap of what happened on her Instagram Story, noting how "scary and emotional" their week had been. Just like her husband, Kardashian also acknowledged a higher power, penning, "I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support."

She concluded the post by thanking the entire medical personnel at Cedars Sinai "for taking such wonderful care" of them. However, the 43-year-old was not done as she returned with two additional Instagram Stories; the first read, "It's crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me."

Travis' daughter, Alabama, first broke the news of her father's ailment in a now-deleted post where she asked people to send their prayers. Since the rapper recovered, things appear to be smoother for the Barker family, as he and Kardashian have been spotted having fun.

Kourtney Kardashian And Her Man Turned Up The Steam On Tour

Earlier this month, The Blast noted that Barker and Kardashian appeared at their friend Machine Gun Kelly's concert. Kardashian, who tied the knot with her beau in a much-talked-about Milan affair, looked every bit of a tour wife as she watched her man perform alongside MGK.

Even the drummer could not hide his joy at having his wife by his side as they went on the road to perform in Noblesville suburbs, Cleveland and St.Louis. In multiple photos shared by the mother-of-three on Instagram, fans saw the couple posing and staring lovingly into each other's eyes.

Two images showed the celebrity couple holding hands, while another saw Barker thrilling the crowd with his captivating drumming skills. The "All the Small Things" artist joined thousands of fans in the comment section, gushing about how tour life was better with his wife.

There is no doubt that fans are anxious to see more content of the duo on and off stage in the future.
