Salon owner Richard Glass, who was likely the last person to see Anne Heche before her accident, is having trouble getting over her passing.

The actress visited the hairstylist's salon to get a wig barely an hour before her horrific car crash, and he was there with her. Glass, who described the encounter as "so strange" and "very random," also said that Heche did not seem to be under the influence.

After she passed away, Glass stated in an interview that he thinks Heche's decision to buy a wig at his saloon was motivated by a higher power so that he might save her from the accident. He added that he now feels guilty that he could not do so and slammed online trolls who accused him of giving the actress the drugs found in her blood.

According to reports obtained by TMZ, Heche visited the salon of celebrity hair and makeup artist Richard Glass on Friday hours before she was involved in a car crash. The actress reportedly made the stop to purchase a new wig and spent a lot of time checking out the available collections.

Glass has since drawn criticism on social media after the news made the rounds that he was the last person to see the actress before her accident. Many have claimed that he gave Heche the narcotics that were discovered in her system.

Glass responded to those accusations (via TMZ) by stating that he has never used drugs, adding that his accusers are simply being hateful. He also thought that a higher power might have led Anne to his salon so that he might save her life.

Given that he didn't know much about Heche's life, the likelihood of Glass saving her was relatively minimal, but judging by the expression on his face during the interview with TMZ, it was evident that he still felt responsible for her involvement in the accident.

Glass described his contact with Heche when she visited his salon to buy the wig in another interview with the LA Times. He admitted that at first, he mistakenly believed the "Donnie Brasco" actress to be Lori Petty, another of his celebrity clients, before realizing their hair lengths were different.

Heche and Glass talked about the choices as she browsed the store until she decided to buy a red wig. The celebrity stylist claimed that the Daytime Emmy winner was not "Speaking in cursive," implying she was not high on drugs or intoxicated.

Glass posted a photo of himself with Heche on Instagram, proving that the actress had visited the salon just before her accident. Heche can be seen grinning for the camera in the photo without any makeup on and with slightly unkempt hair. The red wig she supposedly bought was also visible on a mannequin she was holding.

He captioned the photo, "So I met @anneheche today, and she purchased a #redwig so random," Glass captioned the selfie for his 3,000 followers. “I love #venicebeach #actress #director #mom #celebrity #lifestyle.”

Per the LA Times, Glass described the encounter as "so strange" and "very, very random." He added that he went back to working on a client's hair after Heche had left and that they discussed the actress,

"We mentioned that she had gone out with Ellen [DeGeneres]," Glass said, per the publication. "We looked her up. I IMDb'd her!"

No Further Investigation Into Anne Heche

Heche plowed her car into a house inside her Mar Vista, California, neighborhood hours after leaving the salon. While receiving treatment at the hospital, she fell into a coma due to complications from the brain injury she suffered during the crash.

The actress was subsequently declared brain dead but remained on life support until her organs were harvested in accordance with her wishes. For the deed, she earned a walk of honor from the medical officers at the hospital.

The Los Angeles Police Department decided not to pursue an investigation into Heche because they "do not present for filing consideration" when a person suspected of committing a crime passes away.

"There will be no further investigative efforts made in this case," the department said per New York Post. "Any information or records that have been requested prior to this turn of events will still be collected as they arrive as a matter of formalities and included in the overall case."
