"Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth and his girlfriend, model Gabriella Brooks reportedly split up months ago. The news of the split was revealed just months after the couple was rumored to be on the verge of getting engaged.

Hemsworth was previously married to "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus but broke up barely a year into their relationship. Before the marriage, the duo dated for nine years after meeting on the set of "The Last Song" in 2010. Brooks is the 32-year-old's longest and most publicized relationship after his divorce.

The former couple was first spotted in December 2019 on a cozy sit-out with Hemsworth's family. They were seen several other times together but mostly kept their relationship private. According to reports, Brooks was left heartbroken by the decision to end things.

According to InTouch, Hemsworth and Brooks recently called their relationship off after spending three years together. The former couple ended things with each other a few months ago, and the model was reportedly left "heartbroken."

According to the sources, Hemsworth ended the relationship because he did not want to be tied down. The insider's exact words were, "He didn't want to be tied down, and work has picked up since the pandemic ended."

The "Hunger Games" star and Brooks started spreading dating rumors in December 2019. In what seemed like a serious step in their relationship, the couple was seen having a meal with the actor's parents, Leonie and Craig.

Around the time the couple was first spotted together, InTouch revealed that the actor's parents approved of their relationship and loved Brooks. The separate source said, "Craig and Leonie adore Gabriella. [They] think she's a much better fit for their son than Miley."

According to InTouch, the sentiment was agreed on by another insider who claimed the model was not after Hemsworth's fame but truly loved him. They said, "Not only is Gabriella drop-dead gorgeous and a successful model, she's fun, intelligent, and sweet-natured."

Brooks was invited to the 32-year-old's birthday party in Byron Bay, Australia, with the rest of his family and was spotted hiking with the actor. She posted a shirtless picture of him with a "Birthday boy" caption to mark the happy moment.

The couple seemed to be doing fine at the beginning of the year, having been spotted together a number of times.

They were mostly very private about their affairs; however, Brooks talked to Stellar Magazine late last year about why their relationship was not publicized. She described her relationship with Hemsworth as a "very, very important" aspect of her life. The model also said the past 12 months with the actor totaled one of the "greatest years of my life."
