Eva Mendes was born at night, but not last night ... and she's totally fine with that! The "Training Day" star was sharing a career update with fans as she got back to work with an executive meeting for her fashion line, Eva, which is a collaboration with New York & Co.

Mendes, whose longtime partner and baby daddy is Ryan Gosling, looked every bit the boss lady while rocking a blazer and sitting atop a desk as she prepared to kick off her meeting.

"Back to work. Design meeting. ⠀
My coworker getting her kicks and teasing me about my “cute” new hair. Thanks to @giannandreahair for making my mom life a helluva lot easier," Mendes captioned a video of her coyly biting on her headband and throwing her hair back.

"Saturday meeting aesthetic ...EM for @nyandcompany Reilly Blazer and Qiana Palazzo pant which I lorve so much. Avail online if you care. Thought I’d let you know since lots of you ask what I’m wearing. ?⠀
Sending you all some extra love right now and always. Thank you for always sending me so much positivity and love through your comments. I read most of them when I can and it makes me so happy that there’s so much love around. I send it all right back. Ten fold."

Most comments towards Mendes were congratulatory and fun, however one person thought it was a good chance to comment about the actress's age and appearance.

"She's getting old," the critic wrote.

However, the "fan" probably didn't expect Mendes to clap back, which she did by responding directly in the comments' feed.

"Yes your [sic] right. Thank God I'm getting old," Mendes wrote.

She continued, "That means I'm still here. I'm gonna be 46 soon and grateful everyday that I'm aging. Was your comment supposed to make me feel bad? It didn't. It makes me feel grateful. So thank you for the reminder that I'm still here."

Fans of Mendes definitely didn't agree with the one wayward negative comment and backed her up as she got back to work.

"Maybe girlfriend meant to type looking gorg or hot. I guarantee she mistyped cause ain’t nothing looking old! ?Not that it matters but it breaks my heart that someone would send such negative thoughts to anyone. Looking sweet and kind as well."

"beautiful response from a beautiful person on the inside out," another fan wrote.

"I love it! You can rock any hairstyle!!" a third praised.
