David Beador and Girlfriend Lesley Cook are Officially Engaged

David Beador, ex-husband of "Real Housewives of Orange County's"Shannon Beador, is officially engaged to girlfriend, Lesley Cook, just nine months after finalizing his divorce with Shannon. Cook broke the news on her private Instagram story by flashing her new rock in a photo that showed her being embraced by a shirtless David. Cook also took to Twitter saying, "Today I said YES to the man of my dreams...You complete me!!!" While the couple appeared happy as can be, many fans were not.

Some fans reacted in disgust at the uncomfortable photo-announcement, with one user writing, "Are they angling for a show with everything they put out? And please put some clothes on" and several others sharing "memes" of people gagging or throwing up. This reaction appears to be linked to another infamous photo posted by Cook back in November of 2019, that showed the couple embracing in the nude while on vacation. The revealing photo garnered a ton of attention and criticism.

Fans reacted strongly to the "inappropriate" photos writing comments such as, "So sad that she would do that to David’s kids. She’s a mom and should understand how traumatic this must be for them. #teamshannonandtamra”

Reactions also sparked within the "Real Housewives of OC" cast as well, with Shannon Beador's longtime friend Tamra Judge speaking her mind on the situation. Similarly, it looks like the recent engagement is also receiving public backlash. Upon having the news go public on "Bravo's Snark Side", fans and haters alike have been commenting on everything from the strange announcement photo to the ring. One user wrote, "What in the granny kinda ring is that? And why does she have Ramona eyes?" with another saying, "His ex-wife had a lucky escape, and she’s happy, he is disgusting no one cares about him, or his trs.”

While many fans of Shannon Beador have attempted to speak up on her behalf, the mom of three appears to be doing a-okay with the news. Shannon and boyfriend John Janssen appear to be going stronger than ever, having just traveled to North Carolina for for a trip away with friends. Having gone from saying she "didn't leave her house for the first six months" after her split with David, Shannon has come a long way since he and Cook first began dating.
