Mariah Carey's Home Struck By Thieves While Singer Vacationed In Italy

Reports have stated that Mariah Carey's Atlanta home got burglarized in July.

The acclaimed singer, also known as the "Queen of Christmas" and the "Songbird Supreme," was on holiday in Italy at the time of the event. Her children, fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan, as well as her current boyfriend Bryan Tanaka, traveled with her.

Carey and the American choreographer have been dating since 2016 following the singer's split from Australian billionaire James Packer. Per reports, an investigation into the robbery incident is still ongoing, and the police have not disclosed what was taken or whether anyone was arrested.

According to Page Six, Carey's Atlanta house was broken into in July, when she was away catching a break from work while vacating in Capri, Italy, with her children and her lover.

Pictures of the group having a lovely time on the vacation were widely shared online, which may have served as notice to burglars that the property would be unoccupied and so an easy target. The incident also occurred after the singer posted pictures of herself having fun in the lavish home's pool months earlier.

At the time of the break-in, local law authorities responded to the crime scene, but since Carey made no fuss about it, the incident went under the radar. The publication has now confirmed from the police that the robbery occurred and that investigation into the incident is still "active."

Details about suspects under consideration or if some arrests have been made have yet to be released to the public. The authorities have also not confirmed the stolen items during the raid.

The 53-year-old singer's new home is a sprawling 16,000-square-foot mansion on four acres of land. For its interior, it has nine bedrooms plus 13 bathrooms, while the exterior has a king-sized pool, perfect for summers spent with friends.

The property also boasts a tennis court and playground used mainly by the singer's twin kids, Monroe and Moroccan. In November 2021, a trust that held many other Carey homes and commercial ventures acquired the $5.65 million house.

Fans have had adorable glimpses into the house in recent months, notably the swimming pool. Mariah shared the 20-minute clip in April with the caption, "IG Live!!!! Join the Lambily in celebrating The Emancipation of Mimi and Big Energy Remix!" Monroe appeared briefly in the clip sitting by the pool with her mother while still wearing her pajamas.

Meanwhile, Carey's vacation trip also featured her 11-year-old twins and current boyfriend, Tanaka. The quartet was seen lounging on a yacht and having other cute family moments during the holiday.

The singer let fans share in the sights as she dropped cute highlights on her Instagram page. On July 16, she shared a photo of herself in a dazzling black dress which she captioned, 'Taking a picture before the humidity foils my hair here in Capri.'

Similarly, on Jul 19, she took to the social media site to share another picture of herself half deep in a sea. She captioned it, "Ciao Capri!" which might have meant she was done with the vacation. Per Page Six, Carry also spent part of her vacation time luxuriating in the high-profiled Hamptons hamlet of Water Mill.

Carey revealed on Thursday that she would perform opposite Metallica and The Jonas Brothers on Sept 24 at the Global Citizen Festival at Central Park in New York. The singer announced her involvement in the charity concert on Instagram by posting a cover shot of herself on a post that advertised the event.

She captioned the post: 'NEW YORK, mark your calendars! On Sept 24, I'm teaming up with @GlblCtzn to call on world leaders and corporations to empower women + girls, take climate action, and end extreme poverty. Take action to earn tickets to #GlobalCitizenFestival.'

A similar concert will also hold at the Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana, on the same day. Musicians like Usher, SZA, and H.E.R are set to headline the event alongside other local artists.
