OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney who goes by Courtney Tailor could spend the rest of her life in prison, at least if it's up to her late boyfriend's family.

The 25-year-old is under investigation after allegedly murdering her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, on April 3rd. At about 5 pm that day, she called 911 to reveal that the 27-year-old had been stabbed.

Tailor was arrested on Wednesday in Hawaii after the authorities concluded their four-month-long investigation into the murder. They then found it reasonable to take her in for the stab wounds, which eventually caused Obumseli’s death.

Courtney Tailor Got Charged With Second Degree Murder

The attorney of the deceased’s family, Larry Handfield, finally spoke on the matter on the family’s behalf. When asked by TMZ, he revealed that the Obumseli family was relieved by the authorities’ decision to arrest Tailor.

Barely a day after the death of Obumseli got confirmed, his relatives called for the influencer’s arrest. They also claimed that they had no reason to believe that he was a threat to her.

After the arrest and second-degree murder charge, they expressed their satisfaction in hopes that she would be found guilty. If convicted, the family would also like the model to spend the rest of her life behind bars.

Upon arrest, Tailor admitted to fatally stabbing Obumseli with a knife at the time. However, she insisted that it was a matter of self-defense as she was attacked by him first. While the criminal charge took four months, Handfield revealed that Obumseli’s family didn’t buy the self-defense story.

He said the family insisted that they always believed she murdered him in cold blood. Handfield also revealed that they broke down in tears after finding out that the authorities finally arrested her.

A day after Tailor got taken into custody, a video recording of her and Obumseli went viral, further increasing public suspicion. In the footage, Tailor appeared to be attacking Obumseli in an elevator just some months before the tragedy.

In response, some fans commented on their speculations that Tailor had probably been attacking Obumseli for some time. Also, the April incident was one of those times, but she went too far and decided to kill him.

The police were reportedly called to their home in Austin, Texas, on several occasions in the two years of their relationship. Per The Miami Herald, the police also responded to another domestic disturbance phone call for their apartment on April 1st. This was two days before the stabbing.

The Obumseli Family Is Awaiting Judgment

In response to the family’s wishes to have Tailor behind bars for life, her defense attorney, Frank Prieto, explained how he felt to TMZ. Empathizing with the family, he admitted that the authorities wouldn’t be wrong to consider their wishes when giving a sentence. However, he doesn’t believe that she deserves such a grave judgment.

He said, “Although the State Attorney, by law, must consider the wishes of the next of kin in a criminal case, those wishes often have to give way to more reasonable minds,” He also added that he would like Tailor to be relieved of any criminal responsibility, maintaining that she was acting in self-defense.

He continued, “While we understand the family is grieving the loss of Mr. Obumseli, and they want justice, justice in this matter will be the acquittal of Courtney on all charges.” While there is no new information on the issue, fans eagerly await the court’s final verdict.
