Melissa Gorga wants to set the record straight about whether she's staying or going from the "Real Housewives of New Jersey." Between the drama surrounding Gorga, 43, not attending her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice's wedding to Luis Ruelas and a recent podcast in which Gorga spoke of a difficult weekend, many are coming to conclusions without confirmation. So does the reality star plan to leave the Bravo show?
"This is How Rumors Get Started"
Gorga posted an Instagram story explaining the situation and answering the question of if she's leaving the show. "People are taking pieces from my podcast and assuming I'm leaving the show. This is how rumors get started. I never said I was leaving the show. I was just clarifying how I felt after a difficult weekend. We have no plans on leaving. #RHONJ"
Explaining Things as Best She Can on her Podcast
During a recent episode of the "Melissa Gorga On Display" podcast, the reality star addressed why she and her husband Joe, 42, decided to not go to Giudice's wedding. "I will let all my listeners know this: obviously, there was something that went down at the finale of filming 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey.' Those exact details I obviously cannot say today. Anything that we have filmed is something that I am not able to talk about," she said. "I'm not going to sit here and say that there wasn't drama, that it wasn't crazy. Yes, there was a little aggression from certain people that could've been a little scary."

Gorga posted a clip of her podcast on her Instagram page captioned, "There is power in walking away from something that is toxic." In the clip Gorga said, "Joe and I had made a very big decision and we're still feeling this way and this is what we have decided that sometimes when things are too toxic and you try over and over and over again and it just keeps coming back around to this same thing that it's just sometimes, even if it's family, you have to let it go."
No Family at the Wedding Says a Lot about the Frustrating Situation
A source told People that before Teresa's wedding, things changed between the family members. "Teresa betrayed them in a way that's unforgivable. They're not going to celebrate Teresa's new marriage when all she does is try to tear apart theirs." The source also said, "It's telling that Teresa didn't have one relative at her wedding. But that's the choice Teresa made." This pointed out the fact that estranged cousins Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri were also absent from the guest list.
Teresa tied the knot without her family present on August 6. During the reception, she gave a shoutout to thank her "chosen family," speaking volumes about the family issues she's experiencing. Giudice's brother Joe shared his feelings on missing his sister's wedding on the podcast. "To me, it was devastating. It really was. It was one of the hardest days of my life. It was bad," he explained.
