Fans are hoping that the drama between Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline will be handled in private after a tumultuous Wednesday afternoon.

It all started when the "Stronger" singer recalled the last "harsh" encounter with her teenage boys on Instagram. Britney deleted the post but screenshots can be seen here.

K-Fed then fired back, releasing three videos online that he says the boys recorded when they were only 11 and 12 years old.

K-Fed posted three videos on his Instagram page on Wednesday night. The first video appears to show Britney entering her son's bedroom at night with lotion for his "coarse" face and goes off when she feels her son isn't respecting her. In the other two videos, Britney seems to be taking her son's phone away as punishment after he went into a store without proper footwear in "Alaska weather."

In the caption of the post, Kevin said that they decided "as a family" to post the videos and warned, "This isn't even the worst of it." He seemed to be trying to coerce Britney to stop talking about her sons, writing, "The lies have to stop."

"I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through," K-Fed wrote. "As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos the boys took when they were 11 & 12. This isn’t even the worst of it. The lies have to stop. I hope our kids grow up to be better than this." He ended his caption with the hashtag #NeverFearTruth.

In a follow-up Instagram post, Britney left a strange caption that read "I’ve been so so so so safe mamma 🙏🏼 !!! Finding out is thin … IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME FOR ME ⏰ !!! Is it kinda cool out here ??? The famous game of chess goes like THIS …"

“CHECK MATE ♟ !!!”
“F--- YOU, YOU CAN’T DO THAT”
“I JUST DID 🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!”

Many fans commented on the post to show support for Britney and say that they have said much worse to their own children. It appears that their supportive comments might have worked, as K-Fed has since deleted the Instagram videos.

Although some fans were critical of Britney and her bizarre caption, many fans were quick to come to her defense.

“I’m gonna just say…. Some of these comments are frustrating to read. Britney has endured enough abuse from her family and the media. After 13 years, she finally has a voice to defend herself and share her side of the story,” one fan wrote.

“It may not be what ‘you’ want, but you must honor that she is processing her trauma and expressing herself in a way she hasn’t been allowed to for over a decade. She is a very strong woman and I’m sure what’s going on right now is just not easy,” they continued. “I think, whether you agree with her expression or not, you must give her compassion and grace. She has gone through enough and deserves peace.”

Other fans weren't even sure what kind of point Kevin Federline was trying to make in the video.

"Saw the Kfed video. So what is it that she even did that was so bad. Tell her boys what to do?" one fan asked. "Sounds like they did their fair share of talking back to her. My guess is Kfed spoils them at home…with her money." Another follower agreed, adding, "her boys were wrong to record her and bring it back to the EX. Shows the Ex has poisoned the boys with his hate."

"Okay so @britneyspears I just watched those 3 videos and I honestly think they weren’t bad at all?" another fan wrote. "Lol yes you should be respected by your kids, everything you said was fine. Nice try Kev. 🤦🏽‍♀️ kids now a days need discipline or they do s--- like this, I am team Britney on this one 100%."

It looks like K-Fed realized that the tide of public opinion was turning against him and quickly deleted the videos from Instagram. However, many fans have already downloaded the videos, which can be seen here.
