One thing about Bethenny Frankel is she has zero issues with calling out fellow celebrities for their alleged self-indulgence. It seems like she did just that with a 2 minute TikTok video reviewing Skkn by Kim Kardashian.

Well, that is according to former Real Housewives of New York Bethenny Frankel. She hopped on the social platform to try out Kardashian’s latest beauty products. She didn’t hold back and the shocking review is making the rounds on the internet.

Now, a quick precursor, it wasn’t all bad but it was rough for the most part. The reality star started her video by immediately noting that she is “shocked” and that she is only reviewing two of the steps in the product line; the exfoliator $55 and the undereye cream $75.

Bethenny Frankel’s Honest Review

She starts by sharing with her over 800k followers that she is only using two products because no one ever really needs ALL the steps in a skincare line. In fact, she refers to brands hawking their entire line as “a smash and grab” she points out that everyone’s skin is different every day therefore, they only really need the basics.

However, that wasn’t the annoying part for Frankel, an owner of several businesses she acknowledges that upselling and package selling are very real and it works. However, the look and feel of the Skkn by Kim packaging was rubbing the 41-year-old the wrong way.

The mom of one was immediately confused when handling the packages. She started with the eye cream calling it “bulbous” she claimed to “not understand it”. Frankel joked that unless you live in a “circular house” or “own a circular medicine cabinet” this container is going to roll around everywhere.

“It doesn’t even have a flat bottom so it’s effectively like an egg” she noted that Kardashian’s design team put a tiny little something on the bottom to sit on a flat surface but it wasn’t enough. According to Frankel, “that’s impractical at best”.

“This is crazy,” she said of the luxury exfoliator’s even bigger container. “How are you going to travel with this?” She asked her followers. She took a not-so-subtle dig at the richer-than-rich sisters claiming that their fans would need a PJ to take the skincare line with them.

“If you don’t have a private plane… you have to be a billionaire to use this product,” joked Frankel clearly babbling in shock at the plentiful packaging. “How else are you traveling with this product?” She asked.

“It’s just not practical and I am a very practical and organized person,” says the mom of one. She went on claim that the packaging is shocking because of the super-organized lifestyle that all the sisters boast about living. “Don’t the Kardashians organize their jelly beans by color?”

Skkn Packaging Shock Was Ongoing

Frankel was even more shocked when she realized that the exfoliator packaging was reminiscent of a Rubik cube. She frantically opens and closes the package with pure shock on her face. “Only Kim Kardashian can take a Rubik cube and open it up.” She called it a “wet n’ wild’ idea referring to the 90s beauty brand.

She called it “bulko” and “digressed” into the actual product itself. She complimented the micro white granules in the mixture but also noted that this is something other brands are doing for less money.

She described the eye cream texture like “melted butter” as for it being worth the money, she would expect better for the price. “It’s not Kardashian rich” claimed Frankel which kind of sounds like she is saying they wouldn’t use it on their skin.

Overall she called it “good skincare but extremely impractical” and while she admits it is overpriced, most beauty products are. Her followers were extremely happy with the review with one pointing out that she travels quite a bit so she is rethinking indulging in the product.

What about you? Is Skkn by Kim Kardashian on your beauty wishlist?
