Iggy Azalea is coming out of retirement.
After a year of not releasing any song, the rapper and songwriter announced her return to the rap industry.
The "Black Widow" singer previously intended to walk away from music after the release of her 2021 project, "The End of An Era."
Iggy Azalea Excites Fans With Her Promise To Disturb Their Peace
It appears that Azalea might have changed her mind about quitting music less than a year out of the studio. The rapper broke many hearts after she declared early retirement from making music last year.
So, fans were extremely pleased when she took to Twitter to announce her return to the music scene. The 32-year-old wrote:
"A year ago I was willing to walk away from music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted. But what I've learned is that even when I'm minding my business, y'all gonna be negative AND nosey. So if I can't have peace, neither can you. I'm coming back. Cry about it."
As expected, her revelation got fans buzzing and one person responded writing, "she saw that nobody can make twerk songs better than her and had to come back, period."
Another avid fan gushed, "Omfgggggg iggy is coming back let's goooooooo y'all stay mad [nail polish emoji] Missed u [crying and heart emoji]."
A third fan stated, "I just want to say, you are made for this! I'm so glad that you see through the bullsh*t! Focus on the positive! Your [sic] one of a kind! Your Iggy Iggzzz and you are a Legendary Goddess!"
Several others exclaimed, "we won!" and even more people had no problems suggesting that she should collaborate with artists like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Kesha.
Fans can only imagine the creativeness that will come from the mother-of-one, especially after her tweets in 2021. Billboard reported that the "Black Widow" rapper took to Twitter on July 15 to drop a thread that began with:
"'End of an Era' is so special to me because after I drop my album next month i am going to take a few years to focus on other creative projects and things I'm feeling passionate and inspired by, beyond music. I'm excited for you guys to see different sides to me in the future."
A few minutes later, the "Fancy" artist added that she was taking a step back from creating music for "a few years" to focus on "other creative projects."
"End of an Era" was Azalea's third studio album and was released on August 13, 2021.
The MTV Europe Music Award Winner Turning 32 Came With Inspiration
In June, The Blast revealed that Azalea was excitedly making her way through life as she marked her 32nd birthday with loved ones.
She also ensured that she included her 16.6 million followers in the festivities as she shared a post on Instagram.
In the first slide, the "Kream" artist looked happy as she sat on a chair in front of birthday balloons with two tastefully frosted cakes before her.
There was a video that showed her playing a game with the famed sorting hat of the movie "Harry Potter," — which she placed on her head.
The last slide was a clip of her dancing goofily, making a wish, and asking if she could blow out the cake's candles.
Azalea wrote in the caption that she woke up on her birthday feeling down because part of being a grown woman was "knowing when to remove yourself from situations that aren't adding value to your life…And that's hard as F*** sometimes!"
Azalea continued her lengthy caption by declaring that she was "betting" on herself more than ever. The Australian beauty explained that she was clearing space to make room for "deserving things & people" in her world.
She claimed that doing that would result in her being constantly happy with herself. The "Go Hard or Go Home" rapper mentioned that she spent time with her friends who came over and made "everything shift back into focus."
Her birthday statement ended with gratitude and a shoutout to her "sweetest" fans for their "sweetest" wishes.
The post has gathered over 370k likes and 3,800 comments, with a follower writing, "I love your new focus! Wishing you many more. Always remember never to let anyone still [sic] your joy."
