When it comes to the world's greatest female rappers, the "Moment 4 Life" artist's name can be found at the top of the list.

The 39-year-old Hip-hop star continues to maintain that pedestal with her remarkable talents.

Minaj recently added to her ever-growing trophy case by receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. It is an accolade used to acknowledge outstanding contributions and impacts on the pop and music video cultures.

The prestigious trophy is easily recognized by its unique design of a gold-plated moon astronaut with an MTV flag. The Trinidadian native will be receiving it at this year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

The Queen of Hip-hop announced the exciting news on her Instagram page with a promotional video of the event, scheduled to hold on Sunday, August 28.

If this clip did not get the Barbz fandom pumped up for the award ceremony, the self-proclaimed Harajuku Barbie reassured her followers in the post's caption that she had a special treat in store for them.

"I’m receiving the Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 #VMAs! You don’t want to miss my performance," the 39-year-old wrote alongside a string of emojis, including unicorns and pink hearts.

The "Good Form" singer would surely bring her A-game to the stage as this upcoming performance marked the rap goddess's return to the VMAs since 2018.

As shared by ET, the five-time VMA winner won her first moon astronaut trophy in 2011, earning the silver-plated statuette for the Best Hip Hop Video category.

For this year's award show, the chart-topper has been nominated for the same category, getting a spot thanks to her collaboration with Lil Baby on the track, "Do We Have a Problem?"

Bruce Gillmer, the president of music, music talent, programming, and events at Paramount, had nothing but the highest praises for the songstress following news of her latest milestone. He said:

"Nicki has broken barriers for women in hip-hop with her versatility and creative artistry. She has shifted the music industry and cemented her status as a global superstar."

According to Gillmer, the "Chun‐Li" artist achieved these accolades by being true to herself as a "genre-defying" entertainer with an appealing personality.

The rapper’s VMAs performance shall follow the release of the Trinidadian native's new single, "Super Freaky Girl," which will drop on Friday, August 12.

The People's Choice Award Winner Opened Up About Her Sober Lifestyle

Minaj has won the hearts of millions for her exceptional abilities as an entertainer, as well as being capable of expressing her vulnerabilities. This trait made the 39-year-old a worldwide role model.

Earlier this year, The Blast reported that the "Barbershop: The Next Cut" actress addressed her dark past as a substance user while celebrating a sobriety milestone.

Taking to Twitter, the mother-of-one explained that she once found happiness whenever she got high. However, those days were behind her as the "Pills N Potions" singer no longer needed this form of joy.

According to the Trinidadian native, she learned to find happiness while sober, a feat Minaj also wished for her fans.
