Nicki Minaj is showing where her loyalty lies!
The “Barbershop: The Next Cut” actress proved to followers that she was unbothered by the legal drama currently surrounding her family. Fans were quick to share their varying opinions about Minaj’s show of love.
Nothing Is Coming Between Nicki Minaj & Her Man
Behind every accused man is a supportive woman! In this case, it is Minaj, who shared two new photos of her family – her husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, and their one-year-old son – on Instagram.
While the first image of father and son looked adorable, the second slide of the rapper standing behind her man got fans talking.
For this snap, Minaj opted for a sleeveless top, blue jeans, a scarf, pink-framed sunglasses, and a matching waist purse. Her neck was not bare as a massive bling that spelled out “Barbie” adorned it.
The “Seeing Green” artist showed off her wedding ring as she placed her left hand on her husband, who had their son on his shoulder. The tot looked adorable in his matching yellow tracksuit.
Many people took to the comments to applaud Minaj for “literally” standing behind her man during his legal battles as a sex offender.
One person wrote, “Nicki said imma still stick beside him [hundred points emoji],” and another reminded fans that the 39-year-old never cared what people said, and she was not about to start now.
A third person saluted the “Do We Have A Problem?” rapper for sticking with her man, and a fourth admitted that they would always support her no matter what.
Even Jamaican deejay, Beenie Man, exclaimed that it was “family ova EVERYTHING.”

A few people found it offensive that Minaj was choosing to ignore the allegations against her husband with somebody writing, “you & these sex offenders. I can’t keep defending you.”
Another Instagram user advised the mother-of-one to “RUN,” and a third noted that the post was “embarrassing.”
Fans would recall that Perry was convicted of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl in 1995.
He was in prison for about four-and-a-half years before he was released. One of the conditions for his release was tied to him relocating to another city or country.
The 44-year-old was required to register as a sex offender within five days of moving to a new place.
Unfortunately, the music executive ignored that condition and lived a normal life with his wife, with whom he moved to California shortly after they walked down the aisle in 2019.
The Blast shared that the law soon caught up with him, and he had to plead guilty to a federal charge of failing to register as a sex offender within the specified period after his move.
Petty was facing a minimum of five years of supervised release with the possibility of serving a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.
However, on Wednesday, July 6, a judge sentenced the entrepreneur to three years of probation and one year of house arrest. Petty was also required to pay a $55,000 fine, thus taking jail time off the table.
Minaj Has A Unique Strategy For Dealing With Anxiety
Minaj showed fans another side of her when she appeared in James Corden’s car as his “Carpool Karaoke” guest in April.
The Blast noted that the popular segment made its post-COVID comeback with “The Other Woman” star riding shotgun.
The duo had a lot to discuss, including motherhood and the rapper’s bouts of anxiety from her long-standing career in the music industry.
What started as an observation of the Choice Movie Actress: Comedy winner’s odd snack choice – crushed ice soon became a candid moment that had her stating, “Every time I’m biting the ice, it’s like taking out the anxiety.” Minaj went on to explain:
“I think when you are a woman, and you’re in the public eye all the time, if you’re not careful, you can become less confident because you’re being constantly scrutinized. I just don’t think it’s natural. It’s not natural for a human being to just always feel like everyone’s critiquing them.”
She added that she felt “more confident” when she was a newbie in the industry, as opposed to today.
Fortunately, the ten-time Grammy nominee has figured that staying away from social media during these anxiety bouts brings her peace of mind.
