Comedienne Rosie O'Donnell has revealed that she feels terrible about once making fun of screenwriter and actress Anne Heche.

O'Donnell previously made fun of the actress for saying in an interview decades ago that she had a romance with aliens. Most recently, Heche was engaged in an accident that resulted in the loss of several properties and put the star of "Six Days Seven Nights" in the hospital.

In an online video after the tragic incident, O'Donnell expressed remorse for making fun of Heche when she talked about her relationship with space aliens. She also hoped for the screenwriter's complete recovery from the ordeal.

In her remark about making fun of Heche, O'Donnell was referencing the actress's 2001 interview with Walters. The screenwriter at the time said the abuse she had endured at the hands of her late father, Donald, prompted her to run away to a fictional realm in her head.

"I'm not crazy," Heche said at the time. "But it's a crazy life. I was raised in a crazy family, and it took 31 years to get the crazy out of me."

"I had a fantasy world that I escaped to. I called my other personality Celestia," she went on. "I believed I was from that world. I believed I was from another planet. I think I was insane."

O'Donnell later shared words of advice for her fans in the TikTok video, appealing to them to seek treatment if they were going through similar ordeals.

The tragic incident Heche experienced entailed the actress having a double accident on August 5, first crashing into a garage at an apartment complex and then barreling into a house in her blue Mini Cooper, which promptly caught fire following the collision.

According to information acquired by TMZ, many doorbell cameras that were in operation at the time captured Heche's automobile moving at what looked to be a fast pace just before the crash, which took place in the Mar Vista area.

Firefighters arrived at the scene right after the accident to tackle the massive flames caused by the burning home. Heche is still in the hospital, fighting through terrible injuries she sustained in the collision, and would have a long road to recovery.

Police suspect Heche may have been under the influence of alcohol or narcotics when she crashed into a house and a garage,

TMZ reported that the local authorities had obtained a warrant to take Heche's blood. The presumption was the actress was drunk at the time of the collision on Friday; however, the findings are unknown as it might take several weeks before the test results come in.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for members of the local community where the incident took place to help raise funds for Lynne Mishele, whose house got burnt by Heche's car crashing into it. $100,000 is the target of the GoFundMe campaign set up by neighbors John and Jennifer Durand to try to make up for the memories that were destroyed in the fire.
