Singer Taylor Swift may have just made her fans’ “Wildest Dreams” come true… and no, we’re not talking about a release date for 1989 (Taylor’s Version)… yet!
During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, the “Love Story” singer released her surprise album folklore and then followed it up with her ninth studio album, evermore in December 2020.
Last year, Taylor released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) along with her “All Too Well” short film. Earlier this year, the “Gorgeous” singer also released “Carolina” for the movie “Where the Crawdads Sing.”
Although fans have been waiting to see when she’ll drop 1989 (Taylor’s Version), The Sun has actually claimed that they spoke to a source that said Taylor is hard at work on her TENTH studio album!
Taylor Swift Is Reportedly Working On Her Most ‘Experimental’ Album Yet!
Although Taylor has been photographed out and about in various cities across the world since the start of summer, The Sun claimed that the “Bad Blood” singer has been spending the past few weeks in Nashville, Tennessee, writing and recording new music.
The source claimed that Taylor Swift plans to “surprise fans with her most experimental album” to date.
Although the “White Horse” singer has previously dished about her relationships in her songs, Taylor shifted to telling stories last two albums, such as in the song “betty.” The source said that the “Delicate” singer will give fans a “fresh take on her romance with actor Joe Alwyn” in this upcoming album.
Taylor’s Upcoming Album Will Reportedly Feature A LOT Of Collaborations!
“Taylor is enjoying the process of tinkering with new sounds and is set to showcase a range of genres on her next album, which will surprise her fans,” the insider told the publication.
“It’ll also be her most collaborative album yet and she is eager to work with up-and-coming female artists and producers,” they continued.
They also said that the “Shake It Off” singer has invited “some friends” to collaborate with her, but they didn’t name names.
“She recently invited some friends to write with her and the songs they came up with reminded her team of Stevie Nicks and Joan Armatrading,” they added.
“Her fans are used to hearing about her break-ups but her outlook on romance has changed since being with Joe and this will come through in the music,” they continued.
Whether or not Taylor is actually releasing new music remains to be seen. The “Look What You Made Me Do” has remained extremely coy about when she is releasing new music in the past few years, so it’s very possible that fans won’t know any specifics about her new album until it’s already out!
Taylor Swift Reveals The Inspiration Behind Her New Song ‘Carolina’
As The Blast previously reported, the “I Almost Do” singer revealed that she actually wrote the song in the middle of the night!
About a year & half ago I wrote a song about the story of a girl who always lived on the outside, looking in. Figuratively & literally. The juxtaposition of her loneliness & independence. Her curiosity & fear all tangled up. Her persisting gentleness & the world’s betrayal of it. pic.twitter.com/2o1z8Hrht6

Taylor added, “I wrote this one alone in the middle of the night and then @AaronDessner and I meticulously worked on a sound that we felt would be authentic to the moment when this story takes place. I made a wish that one day you would hear it. ‘Carolina’ is out now 🥺.”
I’m so excited for you all to finally hear “Carolina”, a hauntingly beautiful song @taylorswift13 wrote, based on Delia Owens’ incredible novel “Where the Crawdads Sing”, and which will feature in @CrawdadsMovie, a forthcoming movie based on the book.https://t.co/mvWfzWAR2n pic.twitter.com/jDSAYt2ldT

Longtime friend and collaborating partner, Aaron Dessner, also took to Twitter to promote her new single.
He tweeted, “I’m so excited for you all to finally hear ‘Carolina’, a hauntingly beautiful song @taylorswift13 wrote, based on Delia Owens’ incredible novel ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’, and which will feature in @CrawdadsMovie, a forthcoming movie based on the book.”
Aaron continued, “It’s one of my favorite songs @taylorswift13 has written and it was an honor to help her record and produce it. We played old acoustic instruments and channeled the eery beauty of the North Carolina marsh where the story is set.”
He added, “It sounds fittingly like this recording could have been made a long time ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks so much to @ReidJenksMusic for playing fiddle and @heyjonlow for mixing.”
