The Super Bowl is without a doubt something that every player that is playing in the NFL dreams about. Coming up short of even reaching the big game can be quite a traumatic experience. Especially if this heartbreak is something that you have been through on numerous occasions.

This was the case for Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers last night. As his team the Green Bay Packers came out on the short end of the stick against the San Francisco 49ers. His long-time girlfriend former Nascar driver Danica Patrick shared an uplifting message on social media to cheer him up.

Danica was actually in attendance in Santa Clara California where the Packers took on the 49ers at Levis Stadium. She and a pretty extensive group of friends showed off their field-side seats to watch the game.

Unfortunately for their sake, the home team was just too much to handle for Rodgers' Packers who were quite frankly dominated pretty much all game long. At one point it even seemed Rodgers was going to get a chance to put his team back in contention, but it just wasn't to be.

Danica and Aaron met at the Espys, an award show that celebrates the best in sports for the year hosted by the ESPN network, back in 2012. At that point in time, it can be said that both of their lives were quite a bit different. Danica was actually still married to her now former husband Paul Edward Hospenthal.

Yet, the couple states they began a friendship and stayed in contact through the years. As they continued to have run-ins and different types of events.

Aaron is no stranger to high profile romances. He notably dated actress Olivia Munn. In those years there was a lot of media speculation over the possibility of the couple heading down the aisle and finally tying the knot.

This was obviously something that did not come to pass. It did though help to raise a lot of eyebrows over Rodgers' alleged commitment issues. Quite frankly after a couple of years into his relationship with Danica Patrick, some of the same rumors are starting to show up here and there.

The speculation over whether or not the couple is going to ever tie the knot is obviously going to boil over to this year. At this point in time, there is really no indication that Rodgers is going to pop the question any time soon.

Their lives could change quite a bit though whenever it is that Aaron calls it quits from football. Danica did not participate in any official races in 2019. All indications are that she will stay retired in 2020. Maybe they are just waiting for both careers to come to an end to formalize a marriage!
