The actor who walked the red carpet for the premiere of the new action comedy at the Regency Village Theater, Los Angeles, on Monday in an interesting fashion choice had a lot to say about where he drew inspiration from.

When Pitt appeared at the "Bullet Train" premiere in Los Angeles, he caught the eyes of many with his mint green suit, teal shirt, and vibrant yellow sneakers.

However, the actor became more than eye candy when he spoke to ET Online about his role as "Ladybug" in the film.

The project not only marked new territory for the 58-year-old, but it was also heavily inspired by the legendary "Rush Hour" star. Speaking on Chan's influence, Pitt stated:

"We always talk about Jackie Chan, how much we love Jackie Chan. He's like our Charlie Chaplin; he's just so underrated. And it's so amazing the stuff that he's pulled off. So to do something in that vein, with the comedy infused into the fights, I've never done that before!"

In a separate conversation with Variety, Pitt added, "David and I had always been big fans of Jackie Chan. We'd been talking about him for decades. He's kind of our Buster Keaton. He's so talented and underrated even. Just to do something in that direction was what was appealing to me."

He also explained why he was unfazed by wearing a skirt to the project's premiere in Germany. When asked for an explanation behind the look's inspiration, Pitt said:

"I don't know! We're all going to die, so let's mess it up."

As for the action bits, the "Troy" star clarified that he was happy handing off some of the more dangerous moments during production to a professional stuntman.

The "Mr & Mrs. Smith" actor also shared that even though he could avoid injury during the film's production, there were moments of pain.

"Bullet Train" showcases Pitt as a hitman who has to fight against other dangerous killers on a train. These killers are played by actors like Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bad Bunny,  and Brian Tyree Henry.

Things got out of hand when the group of killers finds out that their assignments overlap with one another's. The project was directed by David Leitch, who has "Atomic Blonde" and "Deadpool 2" under his director's hat.

"Bullet Train" hits theaters this Friday.

In July, The Blast provided an update on Pitt's relationship with his children following his split from Angelina Jolie.

Fans would recall that during their union, the pair adopted some kids, namely Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.

Although his relationship with the two oldest kids - Maddox and Pax — is strained, a source close to the father-of-six claimed that he was on good terms with his younger children.

The group often goes to dinner when they are all in Los Angeles. In the words of the source:

"Brad has dinner with his younger kids when they are all in L.A. Since the kids are older now, they have their own life and friends. Brad still has a pretty good relationship with them."

When he is not spending quality time with his children, the two-time Screen Actors Guild Award winner has kept busy with multiple projects. One such project is his Miraval winery and architecture.

According to the source, the "Meet Joe Black" actor enjoyed dealing with architecture and creativity. They added that Pitt was "living his best life under the circumstances" and was enjoying "Miraval and always poured the profits back into it."

Pitt has also returned to the dating scene — although he is not in a serious relationship yet — and might be retiring from being in front of a camera sooner than fans expect.

The actor may want a permanent spot behind the camera as he already has previous experience producing films.

He has produced flicks like "The Departed," "God Grew Tired of Us," "Year of the Dog," "The Time Traveler's Wife," and "Moonlight," which received the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2017.
