Dua Lipa's concert in Toronto, Canada, took a scary turn for the worse and is now under investigation following a fireworks explosion.

Multiple injuries were recorded and fans on social media have expressed their concerns. The renowned singer has now shared her thoughts on the terrifying incident.

Dua Lipa Concert Plagued With Fireworks Explosion

According to CBC, on Wednesday, a packed crowd gathered at Scotiabank Arena to listen to the English singer perform when a series of fireworks were set off from the floor seats during her final song.

Videos of the incident showed fireworks going off in different directions, with the explosions sending fans panicking and running in different directions.

Lipa and backup dancers were on stage performing when the fireworks went off. The "One Kiss" singer looked visibly troubled in clips shared of the incident. It is believed that the fireworks were snuck in by unruly fans.

The Toronto Police arrived on the scene just before midnight after receiving a call and three people were discovered to have been injured. The extent of the injury was disclosed but authorities noted that none of the injured persons needed to be transferred to the hospital for further medical assistance.

Also, no damage was noticed at the venue. The police are now investigating how the fireworks got into the venue in the first place and who was responsible for setting them off.

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, the owners and operators of Scotiabank Arena, opened up about their cooperation with the authorities, "Creating a safe and secure venue for every attendee at Scotiabank Arena is MLSE's top priority."

The Mayor of Toronto during a press conference said, "To have somebody set off fireworks in a crowded arena, where people said it sounded like gunshots — think of the reaction that could have caused in terms of people being trampled to death," while promising that the perpetrators would be brought to book.

The 'Levitating' Songstress Breaks Her Silence

In an Instagram Story update shortly after the news broke, Lipa addressed the unfortunate incident, expressing her disappointment at what happened.

"Last night, unauthorized fireworks went off in the crowd during my set in Toronto," Lipa began. "Creating a safe and inclusive space at my shows is always my first priority, and my team and I are just as shocked and confused by the events as you all are."

The London native continued, "There is an ongoing investigation into the events being conducted, and everyone involved is working hard to find out how this incident occurred. Bringing this show to life for my fans has been such an amazing experience, and I'm so deeply sorry for anyone who was scared, felt unsafe or whose enjoyment of the show was affected in any way."

She signed off the lengthy statement, writing, "All my love, Dua." Several of Lipa's fans have taken to social media to air their thoughts about the incident, with many wondering if was planned as part of the show.

One fan wrote, "anyone know if these fireworks at the Toronto dua lipa concert were planned?? i got a video of them shooting into the crowd and people running away. hope no one got hurt?"

This user added, "At first I thought it was on purpose but then I noticed they were on the floor and people were getting hit with them. You can see she looks worried :("

This worried concertgoer wrote, "Literally such a scary experience. It sounded like gunshots. The police did nothing. The sound team was so scared. Such a weird experience."

Another fan asked, "What the hell is wrong with ppl? Hope no one got hurt smh." Others suggested that the security checks weren't tight enough.
