John Krasinski and Emily Blunt Never Use This 'F' Word Around Their Daughters

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are well-known actors, but the two people closest to them are oblivious to just how famous they really are - their two daughters, Hazel, 8 and Violet, 6. Krasinski told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" last night that his daughters finally watched one of his movies, the new animated film "DC League of Super-Pets."
"They loved it. They were laughing very very hard," the actor, 42, said. "I think up until now they didn't actually believe I was in the business, because they've never seen anything I've done." The girls were impressed that their father was actually an actor. "'A Quiet Place' - not yet. 'Jack Ryan,' things like that...nope," he said joking about his not-so-kid-friendly roles. "They were like 'Wow, you're not an accountant!'"
The Girls are "Oblivious" to Their Parents' Fame
Last year, Blunt told The Sunday Times that their daughters are "oblivious" to the fact that their parents are famous, and that's how Blunt likes it. She explained that she doesn't want them to feel more important than anyone else and said, "If they can remain oblivious for the longest time I'd be thrilled. They don't even want to see what I do. They don't even like it when I put on makeup. They don't like any of it! They just want me to be their mommy."
They Never Use the Word "Famous" at Home
Just last year, Blunt told The Sunday Times that the word "famous" came up in conversation between her and her daughter Hazel. "Hazel came home the other day and we were in the kitchen and she goes, 'Are you famous?'" she said. "And I'd never heard her...we've never said that word in our house. We don't talk about it." Blunt assumed someone at her daughters' school said something about her famous parents and maybe the kids know more than they are admitting. "Someone at school clearly said it. I was like, 'Um...not really, I don't think I am. Did someone say that to you, Haze?' She said, 'Yeah,' but then she wouldn't divulge much more, you know, but it's weird," she said. "It's weird."
Seeing Mom on the Big Screen for the First Time and LOVING it
Last summer, Hazel and Violet saw their mom in a movie for the first time ever when they watched "Jungle Cruise." "This interestingly has been the only trailer that they have watched multiple times. They are usually disinterested in seeing me on screen, but they're really into 'Jungle Cruise,'" Blunt said on an episode of "Live With Kelly and Ryan." "They love the jaguar, they love DJ [costar Dwayne Johnson], they love the dynamic, they love the whole world." The girls have asked to watch it over and over, which has made Blunt really happy.
Future Actresses in the Family?
Following in their parent's footsteps is not something Blunt wants for her girls. "God no - no! Please God keep them off the stage," she said. She told People that she enjoys watching them develop their own personalities. "It's wonderful when you see them become their own little people. I think they come out the way [they're meant to]," she explained. "They're like bowling balls. They come out, and you're the bumpers trying to make sure they don't get too hurt. But they're on their own path."
