Kelly Ripa Stuns In Tiny Shorts For Arizona Hiking Throwback, Nails Caption

Kelly Ripa is basically Instagram's unofficial throwback queen. The "Live! With Kelly and Ryan" host never seems to run out of epic throwback snaps for her 2.6 million followers, with today bringing yet another never-before-seen photo.

Kelly's photo showed her back in 2007 during a hiking trip out in Arizona. The desert heat was definitely palpable in the image, with a summery-looking Kelly seen walking in teeny tiny gray shorts, a muscle-flaunting tank, and shades. Of course, the 49-year-old comes as a family deal – two out of the star's three children were in the photo.

Kelly was definitely looking fit in her photo, although unlike other 49-year-old celebrities who aren't quite what they were in 2007, this uber-fit star has kept her fitness game up.

In the photo, Kelly was walking with her father-in-law (Mark Consuelos' dad). Daughter Lola Grace was with the two adults, with Kelly giving one of her boys a ride on her shoulders. A caption pointed towards both this and the rather hiking-inappropriate luggage Kelly was toting on her shoulder.

"#fbf 2007. When hiking in Arizona with your in laws, ALWAYS carry a purse. (And at least one child on your shoulders) ???," the star wrote.

Fan comments poured in from the moment the update went live – same deal with likes. Kelly's post had clocked over 7,400 likes in just 20 minutes, plus a ton of comments.

"Hilarious! I have one where I’m hiking in the Muir Woods in high heels, my hubby didn’t tell me what the surprise outing was going to be. Both excellent choices I think," one fan wrote.

"What a gem! ?not just a tote but a huge leather purse! Love looking back and finding old pictures!" another said.

Kelly's age-defying looks were also mentioned as a fan told the star she "practically" hasn't aged.

Kelly is that spring chicken who technically isn't one – the star will soon be 50. That said, Kelly has mentioned how her body seems to naturally defy age.

"I was talking to a cardiologist and he said to make sure your heart beats out of your chest every day. The more you exercise, the healthier it is. And I can be honest: My body looks like Peter Pan no matter what I do," she told The Cut.

The interview also saw Kelly reveal her love of SoulCycle, plus running in New York City's Central Park.

Kelly does make for some fun headlines. While the most recent one has centered around co-host Ryan Seacrest falling out his chair, others have proven more ground-breaking.

In 2019, Kelly took to Instagram to try and get as many ballerinas as possible standing en pointe at the same time. Kelly herself set the example by putting on her pointe shoes – together with dancers from the New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theater, Kelly broke a Guinness World Record, succeeding in her pursuit.

Kelly's Instagram showcases her career, her wit, plus her famous family. Together with husband Mark, Kelly is a parent to Joaquin, Michael, and 18-year-old Lola.
