Kristin Cavallari is ready to date again! She hasn't had to venture out too far to find dates and is playing the dating game with her own set of rules. The "Laguna Beach" alum told Amanda Hirsch, host of the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast how she's been finding dates without using any dating apps.

Dates are Just Sliding into her DMs

"Since like March I've been actively dating," she said. "I was dating someone for a couple of months but I continued to go on other dates." She went on to explain that friends have been setting her up and she's been using her Instagram page like a dating app. "My DMs have essentially been my dating app," she said, and then she made it a point to clarify, "verified only." Cavallari explained that spotting verified accounts is much easier than sifting through all of her messages. "I can't filter through all of my DMs, but I can see those blue checkmarks, honey! I don't like people that often, and I'm pretty picky, I guess, but I'm not gonna settle. I'm gonna stay picky."

From Married to Dating Again

Cavallari and husband Jay Cutler split in April 2020, and she's dated on and off for a bit before taking a break. She explained that she dated someone right after the split which lasted about six months. After that, she dated Jeff Dye, a podcaster she met online, for about five or six months. "And then I didn't date at all for a while," she said.

She Gets 'Me Time' Now

"The Hills" star also discussed what she does with her time when the kids are with Cutler. "I go from my house to being complete chaos to it being dead quiet. And so it's an adjustment every single week," she explained. "There are definitely good things about it. I've gotten my social life back, you know, I've seen my friends, I'm able to travel, I've gotten my me time back. I'm able to take really good care of myself now - physically, mentally, emotionally - because I don't have the kids for a week. And then when I do have them, I'm ready, like I am supermom."

Everything Old is New Again

Cavallari just launched her own podcast earlier this month with ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti called "Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen." The podcast will take everyone back to relive the show and will focus on whether or not "Laguna Beach" was real. "We do not hold back at all. We really do break everything down, from editing to them telling us exactly what to say, to being put in situations we would never normally be in. We really break it all down," she told Emily Tisch Sussman, host of the "She Pivots" podcast. "I haven't watched the show since it aired when I was 18. I'm finally so emotionally removed from it that I felt like I could go back and watch it and just have fun with it. And so everything just kind of came together."
