Vin Diesel Parties With Helen Mirren In Rome To Celebrate His 55th Birthday

"Fast & Furious" star Vin Diesel is partying it up in Rome with actress Helen Mirren to celebrate his 55th birthday.

On Monday, July 18, the California native turned 55 years old. The "Riddick" actor was born Mark Sinclair in Aladema County on July 18, 1967, although he is best known as his stage name, Vin Diesel.

Although he's been linked to Paloma Jiménez since 2007 and Mirren, 76, has been married to Taylor Hackford since 1997, the two were seen getting chummy in Rome to celebrate his birthday. The two might have been trying to double on the festivities, because "The Queen" actress turns 77 next Tuesday, on July 26!

The two Hollywood A-listers were photographed filming the tenth movie in the “Fast & Furious” franchise at sunset on top of Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome. At one point, Mirren puts his hand on his face as she stares into his eyes.

In another shot, Diesel has his hand on her back as they turn to address someone standing just out of the shot.

When they weren't filming, Page Six reported that the duo paid a trip to Antica Pesa, a location frequently visited by celebrities. They were reportedly joined by another "Fast X" producer while they were there.

“Diesel was wearing a blazer, which he then took off to reveal a tank top, fitting for the scorching temps,” an insider told the outlet. They continue to say that Diesel “sat in the restaurant’s garden and sipped on red wine with Mirren, switching over to prosecco for the birthday moment.”

The stars spared no expense for dinner and went with Italian classics like cacio e pepe and smoked duck for dinner. Apparently, the staff were well-aware that it was Diesel's birthday, as they reported that “Diesel was surprised by the kitchen with his favorite cake, Victoria sponge.”

“They were having an amazing time — it seems as if Diesel and Mirren have become good friends throughout filming," the source continued. "As they sang him ‘Happy Birthday,’ he changed the lyrics to ‘Happy birthday, dear Helen,’ because her birthday is July 26.”

In a previous interview with the New York Post, Helen Mirren said that she actually asked Diesel for a role in the "Fast & Furious" franchise when she saw him at a party. She said that she “introduced myself and shamelessly begged him to put me in one of his movies.”

Fans loved seeing her in the film and they're looking forward to seeing the star-studded cast of "Fast X" when it finally hits theaters!

"Fast X" costar Brie Larson tweeted, "A little family for your timeline. Happy Birthday, @vindiesel ? #FastX."

Another "Fast X" costar, Portuguese actress Daniela Melchior, tweeted, "Happy birthday dear @vindiesel ✨Keep shining, inspiring and sharing your light and love with everyone around you!"

A third costar, Jordana Brewster, tweeted, "No one shows up like you do. Fights for what matters like you do with all your heart and soul. I love you to the ends of the earth. I am forever proud to be your sister. Happy Birthday brother."

Universal Pictures compiled a montage of some of his best moments, tweeting, "Another year older but he’s not slowing down. Happy Birthday to @vindiesel!"

A "Fast & Furious" fan account showed that Vin Diesel was actually still working through his birthday, but at least the cast and crew got to celebrate with a giant cake and some delectable looking cupcakes!
