Mike Tyson Said He May Die Soon
During a recent episode of Tyson’s “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson” podcast, the former heavyweight champion spoke to his guest, trauma, and addiction therapist Sean McFarland. Tyson got very existential and began talking about life and how all human beings will die one day.
Then, he revealed that one day, he looked at his face in the mirror, saw “those little spots on my face,” and instantly knew that it was a sign he would die soon. He said, “Wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon.”
Tyson seemed very convinced about his statement and also clarified that money and material things don’t mean anything to him. He said that money offers people a false sense of security in life.

Many fans reacted to the clip shared by NYP of Tyson’s statements. Some fans expressed that they didn’t understand why he would consider the spots a sign of his impending death, while many others expressed hope that there was no real truth to his words.
One comment read, “Everyone’s going to die some day. If we know the day we’re going to die, life would be a living hell. So enjoy life and don’t worry about death, it will eventually come to anybody.”
Some other fans wrote, “He better not, he has become quite an inspirational guy,” “I hope not, I would be very depressed,” “Please don’t Mike,” and “Never say it out loud, unless as a joke. Sometimes The Fates can be capricious. Don’t f–k with them, real talk.”
The Legend Had A Rough Past
Tyson may be one of the biggest sports icons in history, but he is not a perfect person. The 56-year-old has had a very rough past, including dozens of arrests, fights, and several stints in prison. For a while, many of his fans had reason to think that he would never live to his 40s, much less his 50s.
His boxing career was no less violent as Tyson was once known as “Iron Mike” due to his immense strength and intimidating boxing style. He was also a very big success becoming the first heavyweight boxer to hold the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles.
Despite his troubling statements, it doesn’t seem that Tyson is dying anytime soon. On the outside, he looks perfectly healthy, unless there is some sickness or conditions the boxing star was diagnosed with that he is keeping private.
Mike Tyson Spoke About Money And Wealth
During the podcast, Tyson also spoke about his money struggles. Despite his financial success from his boxing career and business ventures, Tyson declared himself bankrupt in 2003. When he spoke about money, he stated that it provides a false sense of security.
He said, “I always tell people, they think money’s gonna make them happy, they’ve never had money before, when you have a lot of money, you can’t expect nobody to love you. You believe that you’re invincible when you have a lot of money, which isn’t true.”
Tyson also shared a recent conversation he had with his third wife, Lakiha Spicer, about money and her security after his death. He said he explained that money wouldn’t prevent people from catching a disease, getting hit by a car, or jumping off a bridge.
