Tyson may be one of the biggest sports icons in history, but he is not a perfect person. The 56-year-old has had a very rough past, including dozens of arrests, fights, and several stints in prison. For a while, many of his fans had reason to think that he would never live to his 40s, much less his 50s.

His boxing career was no less violent as Tyson was once known as “Iron Mike” due to his immense strength and intimidating boxing style. He was also a very big success becoming the first heavyweight boxer to hold the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles.

Despite his troubling statements, it doesn’t seem that Tyson is dying anytime soon. On the outside, he looks perfectly healthy, unless there is some sickness or conditions the boxing star was diagnosed with that he is keeping private.

During the podcast, Tyson also spoke about his money struggles. Despite his financial success from his boxing career and business ventures, Tyson declared himself bankrupt in 2003. When he spoke about money, he stated that it provides a false sense of security.

He said, “I always tell people, they think money’s gonna make them happy, they’ve never had money before, when you have a lot of money, you can’t expect nobody to love you. You believe that you’re invincible when you have a lot of money, which isn’t true.”

Tyson also shared a recent conversation he had with his third wife, Lakiha Spicer, about money and her security after his death. He said he explained that money wouldn’t prevent people from catching a disease, getting hit by a car, or jumping off a bridge.
