On Wednesday morning, Hilaria Baldwin uploaded a video showing how to perform several different stretches to help restless legs. Followers don't need to be pregnant in order to benefit from these exercises but considering pregnant women get a lot of "restless legs" while they're pregnant, and Hilaria is going through the same thing, she thought it could help.
"Calves, legs, hip, back pain. These stretches are life changing," she wrote in the caption of the video.
She explained, "I get a lot of restless leg when I’m pregnant…and even sleep with this lacrosse ball under my hip sometimes. I broke my hip straight through when I was 25 and it still bothers me…especially when I’m pregnant."
"The first is for calf stretching. Notice how I bend my knee to target Achilles and lower calf," she wrote, breaking down the exercises one by one. "The second is for hip flexor (aka psoas) this helps hip and back and quad. The third is with the ball and I place it in my outer glute, where I get nerve tension. The last targets outer hip, back and hamstring. If you flex front foot, like I am, it will get calf too."
She told her followers to make sure to do the exercises on "both sides" and to "enjoy" their time stretching! Fortunately for her followers, this isn't the first exercise video that she's posted, especially for moms-to-be.

Hilaria Baldwin explained that this video is from a few years ago, not her most recent pregnancy, but the exercises that she did back then are still helpful to her now!
"As I begin the final trimester of this pregnancy, I feel my body slowing down," she explained. "I love exercising while pregnant and feel grateful that my pregnancies have allowed for me to be active. We all know that every pregnancy is different and much control we have to let go to nature and listen to what our reality is."
Hilaria revealed that she "got pregnant with Carmen at 28 and I’m 38 to have this baby girl. Age and wear and tear of so many pregnancies and babies are things I def feel."
It seems Hilaria is feeling nostalgic during this pregnancy, as she revealed that she was "looking at old photos of the babes and I found this video from a few years ago." She said that the video contains "exercises I do now and will be some of the first I go back to after I give birth. Lots of pelvic floor concentration here with squats. Obvs no heels…you guys know me: always moving around with whatever I am wearing."
She said that she is "Respecting the slowing down process and then the slow rev up again after baby. The expansion and contraction of the body. How grateful I am to have these experiences in my life’s story."
