Courteney Cox Will Return To Star In 'Scream 6'

It seems Gale Weathers is still working as a news reporter. Now that Neve Campbell has stepped back from the franchise, sources exclusively told The Blast that the story will focus on Courteney Cox's character of Gale Weathers, who has appeared in every installment to date.

According to our inside source, Gale is currently working as a news reporter in New York City. It seems Ghostface has left Woodsboro behind and has decided to target her and those close to her. A motive for the killings has yet to be revealed... but we're sure Gale will be able to figure it out!

As of right now, we've been told that there are multiple versions of the script that exist. Gale does die in at least one of them, but it's possible that they may not kill her off if she is the only legacy character that remains from the original 1996 "Scream" movie.

In the photos released earlier this week, Cox is seen sporting a blue suit with statement neon green heels. Crew members can be seen rushing around in the background, and in some takes, she is holding a water bottle.

Cox's hair falls in loose waves around her shoulders for this scene. In most takes, it looks like she is patiently waiting to start filming, as masked crew members buzz in and out of the frame.

The film is expected to be released in theaters on March 31, 2023, so there are still many more updates to come! Stay tuned!
