It's common to hear the refrain "out with the old and in with the new" after a break-up!
Well, that is unless we're talking about "Love Is Blind" star Deepti Vempati, and the internet having a hard time letting your previous relationship fade into obscurity.
"Love Is Blind" viewers DEFINITELY remember Vempati's relationship with her ex-fiancé, Shake Chatterjee! The duo became one of the most talked about couples of the Netflix smash hit's second season. Chatterjee's multiple unflattering remarks regarding the woman he had been set to marry helped him gain quite the reputation on social media after season two was released.
The 34-year-old frequently commented on Vempati's physical appearance during season two and later emphasized he felt "masculine" when he is able to carry around his partners, something he attributed to not being able to do with Vempati. CRINGE!

In the months following the season finale's drop earlier this year, Vempati, 31, has done her best when it comes to moving on and navigating an extremely public break-up.
Earlier this summer, The Blast reported on Vempati's efforts to get rid of some recognizable pieces of her wardrobe from "Love Is Blind," and she is still hard at work trying to put her past relationship behind her.
However, it can be a little difficult to do so when your ex's past actions were often egregious!
All of these months later, Vempati is still having trouble escaping Chatterjee's shadow, and the reminders of why she ultimately left her former fiance in the dust while at the altar.
"People would just be randomly tagging me in things," Vempati recently revealed to E!, "And I'm like, 'that's old energy that I don't need to deal with. It's time to move on and do fresh, new things."

Social media, of course, can be a never-ending archive of downright embarrassing reminders of the past.
When it comes to Chatterjee's social media activity since "Love Is Blind's" second season premiere, there is no shortage of his often questionable social media habits. Back in the spring, he called one of the show's hosts, Nick Lachey, "a massive twat."
In order to make sure there is no way she and her ex-fiance can cross paths again on social media, Vempati revealed she has taken the biggest precaution possible to prevent any future embarrassment caused by or related to Chatterjee; she's pressed the ol' block button!
Vempati began her E! interview with a mic-drop-worthy moment, saying, "I have Shake blocked, so he does not have the chance to DM me."
Vempati's fist-pumping news comes a day after "Love Is Blind" found its way back into the news, making headlines for a new lawsuit that alleges contestants were left without essentials for survival, including food, water, and were also allegedly not allowed to sleep.
Second season contestant Jeremy Hartwell's lawyer revealed in a statement, "They intentionally underpaid the cast members, deprived them of food, water, and sleep, piled them with booze and cut off their personal contacts and most of the outside world..."
Netflix has yet to publicly comment on the lawsuit.
