Sophie Turner Secretly Welcomed Baby #2 With Husband Joe Jonas!

Actress Sophie Turner just have birth to her second child with her husband Joe Jonas.

The couple had a surprise wedding in Las Vegas in 2019 and a larger celebration in France the following month. They recently welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Willa, in July 2020. The “Game of Thrones” alum waited until May before she publicly discussed her pregnancy, telling Elle magazine that motherhood was “the best blessing ever.”

According to TMZ, the couple actually gave birth to their second child earlier this month in Miami. Sources told the outlet that both mom and baby are already back at home and taking it easy. Everyone seems to be doing well.

Reps for both actors confirmed the news to PEOPLE. They released a statement, saying, “Joe and Sophie are happy to announce the arrival of their baby girl.”

Back in May, Turner told Elle, “It's what life is about for me – raising the next generation. The greatest thing in life is seeing my daughter go from strength to strength. We're so excited to be expanding the family. It's the best blessing ever.”

Earlier this year, the “Time Freak” actress appeared on The Wrap’s “Unwrapped” podcast to talk about how her new role as a mother has helped her connect with characters in a different way than she had in the past. She explained that she had a “different perspective” when taking on different roles.

“The concept of family has made me an entirely much more emotional person,” she said. “The empathy is heightened; the feelings about family are just like overflowing. It’s made me a better actor for becoming, you know, becoming a mother.”

She continued, “As an actor, the only way to become a really brilliant actor is to experience as much life as possible and to bring those experiences in, and so this is just another little part of life that I'm experiencing that I get to bring in and hopefully it helps my performance one way or another.”

As of now, the name and gender of their new bundle of joy has not been disclosed. One insider told InTouch Weekly back in March that "picking a name, which they aren’t sharing with anyone until the baby arrives, is what they’re really excited about."

A different source told Life & Style that the young couple was "adapting well to being first-time parents" and eager to add to their growing family. The one drawback was "They haven’t been getting much sleep but know it’s all part of the process."

After welcoming their first baby, a source revealed that the new parents were "totally obsessed with their new bundle of joy" and they "can't stop doting" on their baby girl.

The source added that Joe treated Sophie like a "princess" while she was pregnant and has been a very "hands-on" dad so far. The source added that Joe has been "doing everything he can to help out. When Sophie wants to rest up, he'll look after the baby."

Yet another source told Us Weekly that the power couple was already trying to have another baby only months after Willa was born and planning on having a large family.

"Joe and Sophie are already trying to have another baby," the insider divulged. "They are really excited to expand their family. Having the baby has made them really close and they want to have a large family together."

The source also revealed that Willa, the name of their first daughter, isn't a family name and isn't short for anything. The source said that the couple decided on the name "a while" before Sophie gave birth.

Another source told Life & Style that the couple delayed having another baby until the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown was over, noting, "it's not exactly easy being pregnant during a pandemic."

"It’s not exactly easy being pregnant during a pandemic, but they try to get out of the house at least once a day to get some fresh air or go for a walk — obviously they take precautions and wear a mask," the source said at the time.
