Britney Spears' Ex Pleads NOT Guilty After Insane And Violent Wedding Crash

Singer Britney Spears' ex-husband, Jason Alexander, officially pled not guilty to a four-count charge when he appeared in court in Ventura, California, after his arrest for gatecrashing the pop star's wedding and harassing her security.

Alexander streamed some of his confrontations with the guards on Instagram Live during the encounter. He was subsequently pulled to the ground and taken away by officials to a holding cell, where he stayed for a month and some days until his court appearance.

The 41-year-old consented to the bail condition of $100,000 that was issued at a hearing. Alexander also faces a special enhancement charge since he was on probation when he broke into Spear's home before her wedding to long-term lover Sam Asghari.

According to Page Six, Alexander was arraigned before the Ventura County Superior Court on Tuesday concerning his actions at Spears' wedding. The reports obtained by the publication revealed that he appeared before the judge via zoom from where he is currently being held in the local jail.

During the hearing, he took a shocking stance by pleading not guilty to the charges of one count of felony stalking, worsened by his previous history of domestic violence conviction and three misdemeanor counts including battery, vandalism, and trespassing Spears' $7.4 million Thousand Oaks estate.

Alexander has been in jail since June 9, when he attempted to disrupt Spears' wedding. Despite his interference, the wedding went smoothly, as photos from the occasion show. The next day, June 10, the newlyweds filed a temporary restraining order against Alexander, which they were granted, limiting him to 100 yards away from them or their home.

According to Ventura County Sheriff's officers, Alexander hopped a fence and walked down a rough hill to access the blonde singer's 20-acre home inside an elite gated community only a few hours before the wedding ceremony.

At the time, Us Weekly reported that after Alexander breached Spears' Italian-style villa, he went live on Instagram, telling his viewers of his plan to crash the wedding. "She's my first wife. My only wife," he said, adding, "I'm her first husband. I'm here to crash the wedding cause nobody [is] here but Sam. So where the f–k's the family?"

He was wrestled to the ground after reportedly fighting and evading Spears' security officers for a while. Alexander was later handed over to the authorities that responded to a 911 call from the estate. A box cutter and other items found in his possession were confiscated at the time and will be returned if he makes bail.

The judge in charge of Alexander's case set the bail amount at $100,000 and stated that the felony stalking charge entailed that he would not approach Spears and her new spouse within 100 yards for the next three years. Furthermore, as part of the bail conditions, Alexander was barred from purchasing or possessing any firearms or other hazardous weapons, and those he already possessed had to be surrendered.

Spears' lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, who helped end her conservatorship, praised the authorities for taking the problem seriously after the hearing. He also expressed his shock at what had occurred and agreed with the court's decision to set bail at $100,000.

Meanwhile, Alexander, who donned a blue prison overall for the hearing, accepted the court's bail terms. If he successfully raises the cash, he will be released from his present holding cell unless the authorities decide to keep him detained owing to his other pending cases.

Alexander's arrest outside Spears' house was not his first run-in with the authorities. He's had a string of arrests, dating back to January 2021, when he was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence and other offenses.

In August 2021, he was charged with an air traffic violation for allegedly trespassing into the TSA's non-secure section and attempting to bypass the queue at a Nashville airport. In addition, in December 2021, he was arrested and charged with a breach of an order of protection and aggravated stalking in Franklin, Tennessee.

Spears' childhood pal, who was married to the singer for 55 hours in 2004, was freed from police custody in January on probation, which aggravated his present situation because he now faces a special enhancement charge for breaching the law while on supervised release.

Alexander disputed the special enhancement accusation during his hearing. His next appearance in court is at a pretrial conference on August 2.
