Ed Sheeran & Wife Cherry Seaborn Chose THIS Unique Name For Second Daughter

Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn are still enjoying the bliss of welcoming their newest addition.

As you might know, the legendary British singer and his spouse expanded their family from three to four and now the name of their second daughter has been revealed.

A source close to the now-parents-of-two revealed to The Sun that the "Shape Of You" singer and his wife have given their little baby girl an adorable name.

The lovely infant has reportedly been named Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran. Explaining how the doting parents have embraced the unique moniker, the insider said, "Ed and Cherry loved the name both in terms of what it stands for and its uniqueness."

The source continued, "Everyone thinks Jupiter works perfectly for her. Behind closed doors, Cherry has been gushing over becoming a mum again. She and Ed really are a match made in heaven. Their family is beautiful."

As you might know, Sheeran broke the news of welcoming a new family member in May after a very secret pregnancy. The "Bad Habits" singer took to Instagram to share a heartwarming photo of a baby's cot arranged with a brown knitted blanket and white baby booties.

"Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x," wrote the award-winning songwriter.

Fans were thrilled by the wonderful news and bombarded the comments section with congratulatory messages.

The "Yesterday" star and his wife of four years became first-time parents in September 2020 amid the pandemic. In a similar manner, the Halifax native shared a photo of a knitted blanket with blue and grey booties this time.

He captioned the post, "Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran."

He continued, "We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x."

Given Sheeran and Seaborn's first daughter's name, it seems as though the couple has a thing for names related to the Solar system and space.

Lyra is a small constellation that is part of the modern 88 constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union. It is also one of the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd-century astronomer Ptolemy.

Jupiter, on the other hand, is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest in the Solar System. Could Sheeran and Seabon be trying to portray something with their choice of unique names?

The four-time Grammy Award and Seaborn have been married for almost four years, but their love story transcends decades. The pair, who walked down the aisle in 2018, were reportedly childhood friends turned lovers.

Seaborn, who lives a notoriously private life, is her husband's musical muse and has been tagged as the inspiration behind chart-toppers like "Perfect," Photograph," and Sheeran's verse on Taylor Swift's "End Game."

Did we mention that she is also close pals with Swift? Although Sheeran and Seaborn have known each other their whole lives they didn't become a romantic item until 2015 when they had a fortunate reconnection.

Sheeran was touring the U.S. while Seaborn was working on Wall Street in Manhattan. The pair soon kicked it off and in no time became lovers.

Seaborn was responsible for her now-husband's hiatus from music in 2016 as the English singer once revealed in an interview, "We were basically like, ‘Let’s both quit our jobs and let’s have a year of forming a tight bond and a relationship.’ So we went traveling and spent every day for a year together."

The duo got engaged in January 2018 and by December had reportedly made things official!
