The Soccer Mom Vibes Are STRONG With Jennifer Garner!

Bringing orange slices to a soccer game is the ultimate in soccer mom energy and Jennifer Garner is all about it. As part-owner of the new Los Angeles soccer team, Angel City, Garner was present for their first official game on July 9 and was seen handing out orange slices on the field after the game in true soccer mom fashion.

The team, founded in July 2020, is brand new to the National Women's Soccer League and owned by many high-profile celebrities including Natalie Portman, Serena Williams, Gabrielle Union, Sophia Bush, America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, Christina Aguilera, Mia Hamm, Abby Wambach, as well as many others. In November 2020, it was announced that the new team would play home games at Banc of California Stadium in Exposition Park in Los Angeles. Banc of California Stadium is also the home of the Los Angeles Football Club of Major League Soccer.

Along with Garner, 50, Glennon Doyle, co-owner and wife of Wambach, retired American soccer player, has been donned the job and title of official "Soccer Moms" for the team. Earlier this year, the plans to become the official soccer moms was announced on Doyle's Instagram page in a video dedicated to the team. The players were even promised fruit slices at halftime, and it appears the soccer moms have kept that promise. Garner was also seen in the video explaining why she's going to be the official soccer mom of the team along with Doyle. While talking to the team, she's slicing a grapefruit because, "we're in Los Angeles and we innovate. So don't worry about it, I've got you covered," she said.

The two then go back and forth explaining why they are the perfect choices for official soccer moms. "You might need things such as Band-Aids, or Capri Suns, or ice packs," Doyle said. Garner added her braiding skills into the mix saying, "I'm good at a high pony." The two soccer moms ended the video with a slumber party invite, which gives off total "13 Going on 30" vibes!

The first NWSL game for Angel City on July 9 started the team off strong with a win against the San Diego Wave. Their next game is scheduled for July 30 against Orlando Pride. Maybe we'll see Garner and Doyle with their soccer mom shirts on handing out more fruit slices or passing out Capri Suns.

Garner, mom to three, daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel with ex-husband Ben Affleck, has been in the public eye for the past 20-plus years as an actress. She began her acting career in the mid-90's and has done many television show, movies, and commercials. Some of her most well-known acting credits include "Alias," "Juno," "13 Going on 30," "Daredevil," and "Felicity" among many others.
