Keanu Reeves and Longtime GF, Alexandra Grant, Are Couples Goals In NYC

Walking hand-in-hand on the streets of NYC on Thursday, Keanu Reeves and longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant couldn't help but to look happily in love. The private couple, who many didn't know were even dating for the longest time, don't make public appearances a common practice, and maybe that's part of their secret to long term love. The two were spotted casually strolling through the City while talking, holding hands, and appearing happy.
Shopping in the City, Hand-in Hand
The "John Wick" star, 57, and his artist girlfriend, 49, were seen doing some shopping on Fifth Avenue in the Big Apple dressed for the occasion with Grant wearing bright pink pants and a black sleeveless shirt accessorized with a black and gold belt, black sandals and a brown purse. Reeves was rocking a navy-blue suit, black T-shirt and brown laced-up boots.
From Longtime Friends to Love Interests
Longtime friends, the two did a great job of hiding their relationship for quite some time. While it's completely unclear when the two met or became a couple, their relationship dates back to around the time their debut book, "Ode to Happiness" was published in 2011. They also collaborated on the 2016 book, "Shadows," which was written by Reeves and illustrated by Grant. The lovebirds first went public with their relationship in November 2019 on the red carpet at the LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci in Los Angeles.
All the Attention After Going Public and Questions About Marriage
Grant opened up to Vogue in March 2020 about all the newly found attention once the couple went public. "I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that's fascinating," she said. "But the question I've been asking in all this is: 'What is the opportunity for good?'" When asked about the possibility of marriage in the future, she said, "Love at every level is deeply important to my identity. How's that for dodging the question?" she joked. "I do not believe that isolation is the way. There is a period of isolation that I do as a painter, but I deeply value the experience of being in relationships."
Reeves Has a Reputation as Being One of the Nicest People
Just earlier this week, Reeves met a young fan in the airport who had lots of questions for him. Reeves is being referred to as a "class act" for how he handled the situation. The meeting was captured by TV producer Andrew Kimmel who said the actor "happily" responded to the "rapid-fire questions" the young fan had for him. "The man could not have been nicer, especially after an international flight," Kimmel said. After a good amount of questions and back-and-forth conversation, the time had come for Reeves to "interview" his fan. Kimmel said, “By this time the kid was running out of questions, so Keanu started grilling him,” Kimmel recalled. “Why were you in Europe? What galleries did you go to in Paris? What was your favorite?”
