Tennis stars, Venus Williams and Serena Williams are a sister duo who have taken healthy sibling competition to a whole new level after becoming professionals in the same sports.
From winning multiple Grand Slams and making inspiring biopics documenting their legacies, Venus and Serena have always been at the top of their game.
Although they both have an excellent career track record and make tennis a great watch for their fans, people still attempt to compare the two sisters whenever they get the chance.
Recently, Venus was interviewed by a reporter at Wimbledon who tried to pit her against her sister.
Read on for more details.
Venus Williams Skilfully Replies Reporter
Venus and Jamie Murray, who wrapped up their first round of mixed doubles at Wimbledon on Saturday, were riddled with several questions during the post-match press conference.
As they sat down, a reporter asked them if they were in the competition to "win it" or if they aimed to only get past the third round, where their siblings, Serena and Andy Murray, had been knocked out three years ago.
"What kind of question is that?" Venus responded via E!, adding, "We are in it for a stroll. Come on."
However, the journalist was not satisfied with her answer. He went on to ask if she was here for the experience or if she was here all the way, to which she retorted, saying, "Are you going to write a good article or just a halfway decent one?"

When the reporter replied, "I will do what I usually do," the seven-time Grand Slam winner responded, "Us too."
While Venus and Jamie went on to compete in the next rounds of mixed doubles on July 3, they lost to Jonny O'Mara and Alicia Barnett.
Serena Williams Participated In This Year's Wimbledon
On June 14, Serena announced she received a wild card to play at this year's Wimbledon. She hinted at this news through an Instagram post, uploading an image that featured her standing on the court, her Nike sneakers, and her tennis racket bag nearby.
"SW and SW19," she captioned the image, referencing her initials and the postal code for the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club where Wimbledon is held. "It's a date. 2022 See you there. Let's Go #renasarmy," she concluded, tagging her team and the tournament's official Instagram account.
After seeing her post, the tournament replied in a stand-alone message, saying, "It's on, @serenawilliams." Her husband, Alexis Ohanian, expressed his excitement by responding with a series of clapping emojis under Serena's post and adding, "LFG."

This match marked Serena's first tennis tournament in over a year since her leg injury during her first-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
Unfortunately, this year, she lost to Harmony Tan in the first round of the singles competition.
"That was insane and intense," Serena wrote on her Instagram on June 28. "Not the result I came for, but I enjoyed that. I hope you did as well. Onward and up."
Fans Praised Venus' Response
Fans loved the response given by Venus and were quick to praise the two-time Grand Slam winner on her epic comeback and respectful put-down of the reporter.
"Venus' answer is brilliant here. Put him in his place but in a very respectful manner. Love it," a fan wrote.
Another echoed the same sentiments and jocularly added, "The perfect return, I'd say."
A third follower added, "Venus Williams is brilliant. Off and on the court."
Venus has won sixteen Grand Slam double titles, seven Grand Slam singles, and four Olympic gold medals. In addition, she was the first African-American woman to reach the singles number one ranking.
Venus Williams Initially Had No Plans To Play Wimbledon
Venus shared that she decided to play in this year's Wimbledon at the last minute.
"I had no plan to play. I saw the grass, and I got excited. I was at the French Open, it's a beautiful event, but my heart didn't beat the same way."
Jamie was also on a break after the birth of his baby. However, he decided to make an early return on Venus' request.
Venus continued, "That's why I was asking Jamie Murray last minute. He just had a baby too, so I know a lot is going on. I couldn't have guessed I would be here right now, taking it at the last minute."
Although she had always been practicing, it had been a long time since she had played a professional match.
"Oh, my God, wow. I just not only played a match but won a match. I'm never like that kind of player. I always expect to win. We wanted to win," she concluded.
